Abstract

Deoksigenasi minyak kemiri sunan (Reutealis trisperma) menjadi green diesel telah dilakukan dengan katalis Ni/Al-MCM-41. Katalis Ni/Al-MCM-41 dipreparasi dengan metode impregnasi basah dan impregnasi kering yang selanjutnya disebut Ni/Al�MCM-41 (WI) dan Ni/Al-MCM-41 (IWI). Padatan Al-MCM-41 memiliki fasa amorf yang dibuktikan dengan XRD dan SEM. Analisa FTIR menunjukan karakteristik material Al-MCM-41. Uji Keasaman menunjukkan pengaruh NiO pada jumlah asam Lewis dan asam Brønsted. Berdasarkan analisis TEM diketahui diameter pori sekitar 2,5 nm dan diameter NiO sekitar 19 nm. Aktivitas katalis diuji pada reaksi deoksigenasi minyak kemiri sunan pada kondisi inert selama 4 jam. Katalis Ni/Al-MCM-41 (WI) menunjukkan hasil yang lebih baik dibandingkan dengan katalis Ni/Al-MCM-41(IWI) dan Al-MCM-41 pada reaksi deoksigenasi minyak kemiri sunan, hasil selektivitas senyawa hidrokarbon (C11-C18) sebesar 100% dan derajat deoksigenasi sebesar 92,77.

Deoxygenation of kemiri sunan (Reutealis trisperma) oil to produce green diesel by using Ni/Al-MCM-41 catalyst has been carried out. Ni/Al-MCM-41 catalyst was prepared by wet impregnation and incipient wetness impregnation. 10% (w/w) nickel metal were loaded on Al-MCM-41 support. The synthesized solid has an amorphous phase as evidenced by XRD and SEM. The FTIR analysis shows the characteristic of Al-MCM-41. The acidity of the catalyst shows the effect of NiO loading on Lewis sites and Brønsted sites. TEM confirmed the average pore size is 2,5 nm and the NiO diameter is around 19 nm. The catalytic activity was studied on the deoxygenation reaction of kemiri sunan oil under inert conditions for 4 h. Ni/Al-MCM-41 (WI) catalyst exhibited excellent catalytic activity then the Ni/Al-MCM-41 (IWI) and Al-MCM-41 catalyst for kemiri sunan deoxygenation, with selectivity to hydrocarbon fraction (C11-C18) of 100% and the degree of deoxygenation is 92,77.
