Abstract
PT Asahimas Flat Glass Tbk Sidoarjo merupakan salah satu perusahaan manufaktur di Indonesia yang bergerak dalam bidang kaca dan berfokus pada produksi kaca lembaran eksterior. Kaca sunergy menjadi salah satu produk unggulan. Pada proses produksi kaca sunergy, hasil potongan kaca adalah aspek yang sangat diperhatikan, dimana terdapat dua karakteristik kualitas yang diukur yaitu edge distortion dan cutter line. Produk kaca ini memiliki variasi yang tinggi yaitu ketebalan yang berbeda-beda sesuai permintaan konsumen, sehingga setiap jenis ketebalan memiliki volume produksi yang rendah. Kondisi demikian disebut short runs production. Pengendalian kualitas yang dilakukan oleh perusahaan hanya dengan membuat trend grafik untuk mengetahui sesuai atau tidaknya produk dalam range standard. Pada penelitian ini dilakukan pengendalian kualitas proses produksi kaca sunergy dengan menerapkan diagram kendali multivariat short runs untuk monitoring variabilitas dan rata-rata proses. Hasil monitoring menunjukkan bahwa variabilitas proses produksi kaca sunergy pada fase I sudah terkendali secara statistik. Rata-rata proses fase I dengan empat pengujian juga telah terkendali secara statistik. Sedangkan pada fase II, variabilitas dan rata-rata proses belum terkendali. Hal ini mengindikasikan terjadinya pergeseran. Selain itu, analisis kapabilitas proses secara multivariat menunjukkan proses produksi belum kapabel.

PT Asahimas Flat Glass Tbk Sidoarjo is one of the manufacturing companies in Indonesia which is engaged in glass and focuses on the production of exterior flat glass. Sunergy glass is one of the leading products. In the sunergy glass production process, the cut glass is a very important aspect, there are two quality characteristics that are measured, edge distortion and cutter line. This glass product has a high variation, i.e. different thicknesses according to consumer demand, so that each type of thickness has a low production volume. Such condition is called short runs production. Quality control carried out by the company is only by making trend graphs to determine whether or not the product is in the standard range. In this study, the quality control of the sunergy glass production process was carried out by applying a multivariate short runs control chart for monitoring variability and mean process. The monitoring results that the variability of the sunergy glass production process in phase I is statistically controlled. The mean process phase I with four tests is also statistically controlled. Meanwhile in phase II, the variability and mean of the process are not statistically controlled. This indicates a shift in the process. In addition, multivariate analysis of process capability shows that the sunergy glass production process is not yet capable.
