Abstract

Along with technological developments, especially in the electricity
sector, many manufacturers have started to use hybrid generating systems
such as PLTS. However, the amount of energy produced by PLTS follows
the intensity of sunlight, as a result, the energy produced by PLTS has a
fluctuating value, so that PLTS cannot be used to supply electrical energy
continuously. Therefore, a system was designed to regulate the PLTS
loading so that the electricity supply is more reliable and efficient, and
can increase battery lifetime. In this final project, an Energy management
storage system will be designed for the Hybrid PV – Grid Battery system
by considering weather forecast data. Based on the results of the analysis,
EMS is able to adjust the pattern of loading on the system so that the
energy supply is maintained for 24 hours, the SOC battery used is limited
to only the range of 50% - 80%, so the battery has a lifetime of 13 years,
using weather forecasts EMS is able to estimate the size of the battery. the
solar irradiance tomorrow so that if the solar irradiance is ≤121 then EMS
will later instruct the battery to charge the battery at night using the power
supply sent by the PLN grid.
