Abstract

Telah dilakukan analisis pengaruh konsentrasi ammonium peroxodisulfate (APS) terhadap sifat konduktivitas listrik polianilin (PANI) pada metode polimerisasi oksidasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh konsentrasi APS pada pembentukan PANI serta nilai konduktivitas PANI yang dihasilkan. Proses polimerisasi dilakukan dengan membuat larutan A yang terdiri dari APS dengan variasi sebesar 3,285; 6,571; 9,857; dan 13,143 gram yang dilarutkan pada aquades yang diaduk selama 5 menit pada kecepatan 50 rpm dan larutan B yang terdiri dari campuran 4,34 ml anilin, 3,35 Sodium dodecylbenzenesulfonate (SDBS) yang dilarutkan pada 160 ml HCL 0,75M diaduk menggunakan stirrer selama 60 menit pada kecepatan 500 rpm, kemudian larutan A dititrasikan pada larutan B yang diaduk menggunakan stirrer pada 500 rpm dengan laju titrasi yang relatif lambat untuk membuat suhu sistem konstan pada 0-10 C. Selama polimeriasi, sampel didiamkan selama 18 jam. PANI yang didapatkan dicuci menggunakan aquades, etanol, dan aseton, kemudian dikarakterisasi menggunakan X-Ray Diffraction (XRD), Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR), dan RCL meter. Hasil pencucian menunjukkan PANI mempunyai warna yang berbeda-beda yaitu hijau tua, biru tua, dan hijau. Hasil uji XRD menunjukkan bahwa PANI mempunyai struktur kristal sebagian, sementara gugus fungsional benzoid dan kuinoid teramati pada spektrum FTIR. Penambahan APS mengakibatkan kenaikan konduktivitas listrik, akan tetapi penambahan yang berlebihan dapat menurunkan konduktivitas listrik. Nilai konduktivitas tertinggi pada penambahan APS 0,9 mol.

An analysis of the effect of the concentration of ammonium peroxodisulfate (APS) on the electrical conductivity properties of polyaniline (PANI) in the oxidation polymerization method has been carried out. This study aims to determine the effect of APS concentration on the formation of PANI and it’s conductivity value. The polymerization process was carried out by making a A solution consisting of APS with a variation of 3.285; 6.571; 9.857; and 13.143 grams dissolved in distilled water which was stirred for 5 minutes at a speed of 50 rpm and B solution consisting of a mixture of 4.34 ml of aniline, 3.35 Sodium dodecylbenzenesulfonate (SDBS) dissolved in 160 ml of 0.75 M HCl stirred using a stirrer for 60 minutes. at a speed of 500 rpm, then A solution was titrated to B solution which was stirred using a stirrer at 500 rpm at a relatively slow titration rate to make the system temperature constant at 0-10 C. During polymerization, the sample was allowed to stand for 18 hours. The obtained PANI was washed using distilled water, ethanol, and acetone, then characterized using X-Ray Diffraction (XRD), Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR), and RCL meter. The washing results showed PANI had different colors, namely dark green, dark blue, and green. XRD test results showed that PANI had a partial crystal structure, while benzoid and kuinoid functional groups were observed in the FTIR spectrum. The addition of APS results an increase in electrical conductivity, but excessive additions can reduce the electrical conductivity. The highest conductivity value with the addition of 0.9 mol APS.
