Abstract

Covid-19 is a disease caused by SARS-CoV-2 virus. The ideal air for the growth of this virus is at a temperature of about 8-10 °C with a relative humidity of air 60-90%. East Java Province has a cumulative recovery rate of Covid-19 exceeding the national recovery rate of 70.96%, the number is also the highest recovery rate of Covid-19 in Java Island on August 8, 2020. One of the factors that is suspected to affect the recovery rate of Covid-19 is climate factors such as average temperature, average relative humidity of air, rainfall, duration of solar illumination, and average wind speed. The recovery rate of Covid-19 in East Java Province tends to increase in May 2020 to July 2020 and decrease in July 2020 to November 2020. This research was conducted spatial and temporal analysis using Gamma Regression and Geographically and Temporally Weighted Gamma Regression method. Gamma Regression analysis resulted in a significant impact on the recovery rate of Covid-19 in East Java Province such as average temperature, average relative humidity of air, rainfall, duration of solar illumination, and average wind speed. The modeling results using GTWGR method resulted in that climate factors that have a significant effect on the recovery rate of Covid-19 in each region and periods are different. Each region in each period has at least two climatic factors that have a significant effect on the recovery rate of Covid-19.
