Abstract

Investigasi biomarka untuk mengetahui karakteristik geokimia organik batuan sedimen Polaman 4 (PLM-4) Formasi Ngrayong telah dilakukan menggunakan Kromatografi Gas-Spektrometri Massa (KG-SM). Hasil analisis kromatogram menunjukkan adanya kelimpahan n-alkana rantai medium (n-C19 – n-C26) dan n-alkana rantai panjang (n-C27 -n-C37), senyawa hopanoid, de-A-lupana, alkil benzena, serta kalamena. Dominasi n-alkana rantai panjang terhadap pendek, keberadaan senyawa de-A-lupana, kalamena, alkil benzena, hopanoid, serta rasio Paq sebesar 0,4 mengindikasikan senyawa organik berasal dari berbagai sumber, antara lain tumbuhan tingkat tinggi terrestrial, bakteri, serta makrofita akuatik. Keberadaan senyawa 17β(H)-22,29,30-Trisnorhopana, 17β(H), 21β(H)-Hopana,17β(H),21α(H)-30-Normoretana, nilai rasio C29ββ/αβ > 0,15; C31αβS/(S+R) < 1, serta nilai parameter CPI > 1 mengindikasikan sedimen memiliki tingkat kematangan yang rendah. Kelimpahan senyawa kalamena, senyawa de-A-lupana, dan beberapa senyawa hopanoid juga mengindikasikan lingkungan pengendapan bersifat oksik.

Investigation of biomarker to determine the organic geo-chemistry characteristics of Polaman 4 (PLM-4) sedimentary rock Ngrayong Formation has been carried out using Gass Chomatography-Mass Spectrometry (GC-MS). The result of the chromatogram analysis showed the abundance of medium chain n-alkanes (n-C19 - n-C26) and long chain n-alkanes (n-C27 – n-C37), hopanoid compounds, des-A-lupane, alkyl benzene, and calamene. The dominance of long chain to short chain n-alkanes, the presence of des-A-lupane, calamene, alkyl benzene, hopanoids, and Paq ratio of 0.4 indicates organic compounds derived from various sources, including terrestrial higher plants, bacteria, and aquatic macrophytes. The presence of 17β(H)-22,29,30-Trisnorhopane, 17β(H), 21β(H)-Hopane, 17β(H),21α(H)-30-Normoretane, the ratio value of C29ββ/αβ > 0,15; C31αβS/(S+R) < 1, and the CPI parameter value > 1 indicates the sediment has low maturity level. The abundance of calamene, des-A-lupane, and some hopanoid compounds also indicates an oxic depositional environment.
