Abstract
Kajian biomarka hidrokarbon alifatik dan aromatik telah dilakukan pada sedimen PLM-3. Analisa biomarka dilakukan melalui ekstraksi, fraksinasi, serta identifikasi menggunakan Kromatografi Gas-Spektrometer Massa (KG-SM). Hasil identifikasi menunjukkan nilai rasio 22S/22S+22R (0,31) serta adanya senyawa 17β(H)-22,29,30-trisnorhopana; 17β(H),21α(H)-30-normoretana; dan olean-12-ena mengindikasikan sampel berada pada tingkat kematangan yang rendah. Nilai rasio Pr/Ph >1 dan teridentifikasinya senyawa C31 homohopana menunjukkan kondisi lingkungan pengendapan sedimen PLM-3 bersifat oksik. Pola distribusi bimodal dari senyawa n-alkana menunjukkan bahwa sumber bahan organik berasal dari bakteri, tumbuhan makrofita akuatik, serta tumbuhan tingkat tinggi. Nilai rasio CPI (1,23), LHCPI (0,05), serta OEP (1,14) menunjukkan dominasi bahan organik yang berasal dari tumbuhan tingkat tinggi. Analisa biomarka menunjukkan bahwa sedimen PLM-3 Formasi Ngrayong memiliki sumber bahan organik yang bervariasi, terendapkan dalam lingkungan yang oksik, serta berada pada tingkat kematangan yang rendah.

Biomarker studies of aliphatic and aromatic hydrocarbons
have been carried out on PLM-3 sediments. Biomarker analysis was carried out through extraction, fractionation, and identification using Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometer (GC-MS). The identification results showed the ratio value of 22S/22S+22R (0.31) and the presence of 17β(H)-22,29,30-
trisnorhopane; 17β(H),21α(H)-30-normoretane; and olean-12-ene indicated the sample was at a low level of maturity. The value of the Pr/Ph ratio >1 and the identification of the compound C31 homohopane indicated that the environmental conditions of the PLM-3 sediment were oxic. The bimodal distribution pattern of n-alkane compounds indicates that the source of organic matter comes from bacteria, aquatic macrophytes, and higher plants. The ratio values of CPI (1.23), LHCPI (0.05), and OEP (1.14) indicate the dominance of organic matter originating from higher plants. Biomarker analysis shows that the PLM-3 sediment of the Ngrayong Formation has varied sources of organic matter, was deposited in an oxic environment, and is at a low level of maturity.
