Abstract

Perkembangan kota membawa dampak kepada lingkungan dan sosial. Diantaranya adalah munculnya fenomena Urban Heat Island, fenomena lingkungan dan fenomena sosial. Arsitektur memegang peran besar dalam hubungan alam dan manusia, juga antar manusia. Merubah lapisan permukaan bumi menjadi yang dibutuhkan, mendikte cara manusia berinteraksi dengan sesama manusia dan juga dengan alam. Arsitektur, dalam desain bangunan perlu menciptakan keharmonisan. Timbul pertanyaan, bagaimana sebuah obyek rancangan arsitektur dapat mengintegrasikan alam dan sosial; menanggulangi efek Urban Heat Islands, merubah kebiasaan, memunculkan budaya dan aktivitas baru yang mendekatkan antar elemen masyarakat dengan juga memperhatikan alam.
Penggabungan pendekatan Green Architecture bersama dengan teori Sense of Community, juga metode Architectural Programming dan transfer domain sosiologi menuju domain arsitektur saling mendukung dalam menemukan kriteria desain yang tepat dalam merumuskan interaksi antar manusia dan alam dalam wujud bangunan, agar tercipta hubungan yang harmonis.

The development of modern cities has great impact on environmental and social impacts. Among them are the emergence of the Urban Heat Island phenomenon, environmental phenomena and social phenomena. Architecture plays a big role in the relationship between humans and nature, as well as between people. Changing the layers of the earth's surface to what is needed dictates how humans interact with fellow humans and also with nature. Architecture has to create harmony, not the other way around. The question arises, how an object of architectural design can overcome the effects of the Urban Heat Islands, change habits, create new cultures and activities that bring elements of society closer together and also to the nature.
The integration of the Green Architecture approach together with the Sense of Community theory, and Biophillic Design as well as the Architectural Programming method and the transfer of the sociology domain to the architectural domain support each other in finding the right design criteria in formulating interactions between humans and nature in the form of a building, in order to create a harmonious relationship.
