Abstract
Diabetes melitus merupakan penyakit gangguan metabolik kronik yang disebabkan adanya defisiensi produksi insulin, sehingga memicu tingginya kadar glukosa dalam darah. Pasien diabetes melitus rentan mengalami komplikasi, salah satunya neuropati. Jumlah pasien diabetes melitus terus bertambah tiap tahunnya dan lebih dari 40% penderita diabetes melitus mengalami gangguan neuropati. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang diduga mempengaruhi waktu survival pasien diabetes melitus sampai dengan mengalami gangguan neuropati di RSUD Dr. Soetomo. Faktor-faktor yang diduga mempengaruhi waktu survival pasien diabetes melitus mengalami gangguan neuropati meliputi jenis kelamin, usia, BMI, tekanan darah, dan GD2PP. Regresi Cox PH digunakan pada penelitian ini karena semua variabel telah memenuhi asumsi PH. Pemodelan dengan Regresi Cox PH menghasilkan variabel yang berpengaruh terhadap waktu survival pasien diabetes melitus dengan gangguan neuropati yaitu usia pasien. Didapatkan bahwa pasien diabetes melitus di RSUD Dr. Soetomo dengan usia lebih tua cenderung memiliki risiko mengalami gangguan neuropati lebih kecil dibandingkan dengan pasien diabetes melitus yang usianya lebih muda.

Diabetes mellitus is a metabolic disorder that is caused by deficiency in insulin production, which leads over time to high blood glucose levels. Diabetes mellitus patients are very susceptible to many complications, one of which is neuropathy. The number of diabetes mellitus patients has increased every year and more than 40% of them are have neuropathy. The purpose of this study is to determine some factors affecting the risk of neuropathy for patients with diabetes mellitus in RSUD Dr. Soetomo. The suspected risk factors are sex, age, BMI, blood pressure, and GD2PP. The Cox PH Regression was used in this study because all of the variables had fulfilled the PH assumptions. The Cox PH Regression produced a prove that age significantly increases the risk of neuropathy in diabetes mellitus patients. Diabetes mellitus patients in RSUD Dr. Soetomo with an older age tends to have a smaller risk of neuropathy complication than younger diabetes mellitus patients.
