Abstract

Kebutuhan konsumsi gula sebagai salah satu bahan pokok masyarakat Indonesia terus mengalami peningkatan seiring dengan bertambahnya jumlah penduduk dari tahun ke tahun. Provinsi di Indonesia dengan kontribusi produksi gula paling tinggi pada tahun 2020 yaitu Jawa Timur sebesar 47%. PG Kebon Agung merupakan salah satu produsen gula di Jawa Timur sejak tahun 1905. Produk andalan dari PG Kebon Agung adalah Gula Kristal Putih (GKP) dengan parameter utama penentu kualitasnya yaitu indeks warna larutan dan kadar SO2. Apabila parameter atau karakteristik kualitas tidak sesuai dengan standar yang telah ditetapkan, maka produk yang dihasilkan dapat mempengaruhi kepuasan produsen maupun konsumen. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan pengendalian kualitas GKP yang dihasilkan oleh PG Kebon Agung menggunakan peta kendali multivariat berbasis model time series, mengingat antar karakteristik kualitas saling berhubungan dan antar pengamatan pada setiap karakteristik kualitas terdapat autokorelasi. Pemodelan multivariate time series yang digunakan yaitu Vector Autoregressive (VAR) Peta kendali multivariat pada individual observation yang digunakan yaitu Multivariate Exponentially Weighted Moving Variance (MEWMV) dan Multivariate Exponentially Weighted Moving Average (MEWMA). Hasil pengendalian kualitas GKP di PG Kebon Agung menunjukkan bahwa variabilitas proses tidak terkendali secara statistik sedangkan rata-rata proses telah terkendali secara statistik dengan menggunakan pembobot optimum. Selain itu, hasil analisis kapabilitas proses secara multivariat menunjukkan bahwa kinerja proses produksi GKP di PG Kebon Agung telah kapabel.

Sugar consumption necessities as one of the staples of the Indonesian people continues to increase along with the increase in population from year to year. The Indonesian province with the highest contribution to sugar production in 2020 is East Java at 47%. PG Kebon Agung is one of the sugar producers in East Java since 1905. The mainstay product of PG Kebon Agung is White Crystal Sugar (GKP) with the main parameters determining its quality namely solution color and sulphur dioxide. If the parameters or quality characteristics are not in accordance with the defined standards, then the resulting product can affect the satisfaction of producers and consumers. Therefore, it is necessary to control GKP quality which is produced by PG Kebon Agung using multivariate control chart based on time series model, considering that the quality characteristics are correlated and there is an autocorrelation between observations on each quality characteristic. The multivariate time series modeling used is Vector Autoregressive (VAR). Multivariate control chart on individual observation used are Multivariate Exponentially Weighted Moving Variance (MEWMV) and Multivariate Exponentially Weighted Moving Average (MEWMA). The results of GKP quality control at PG Kebon Agung show that the variability of the process are not statistically controlled and the average of the process are statistically controlled using the optimum weighting. In addition, the results of multivariate process capability show that the performance of the GKP production process at PG Kebon Agung is capable.
