Abstract

Pajak adalah pungutan wajib yang harus dibayarkan oleh wajib pajak kepada negara guna kepentingan pemerintah dan kesejahteraan masyarakat umum. Untuk itu, membayar pajak merupakan suatu kewajiban masyarakat. Demi memudahkan masyarakat wajib pajak dalam membayar pajak, Samsat Jawa Timur merealisasikan visi dan misi yang dimiliki dengan membuat inovasi berupa Layanan Unggulan Samsat, yaitu Samsat Corner. Samsat Corner merupakan sebuah tempat pembayaran Pajak Kendaraan Bermotor dan pengesahan STNK selama satu tahun yang berlokasi di tempat-tempat strategis seperti pertokoan dan mall. Tujuannya untuk memudahkan wajib pajak agar tidak perlu untuk mendatangi kantor pusat Samsat jika ingin membayar PKB.
Dari keseluruhan Samsat Corner yang telah dikunjungi, tidak semua memiliki penataan interior, papan informasi, penggunaan warna, maupun pengaplikasian logo yang sama. Masyarakat pun juga sedikit kesusahan dalam menemukan lokasi Samsat Corner dikarenakan kurangnya petunjuk arah yang ada. Hal ini tentunya menjadi penyebab ketidakselarasan antara cabang satu dengan lainnya. Dengan adanya keselarasan antara cabang satu dengan cabang lainnya, dapat meyakinkan dan membentuk persepsi masyarakat akan identitas dari Samsat Corner sendiri. Maka dari itu, diputuskan untuk merancang Environmental Graphic Design (EGD) Samsat Corner Surabaya. Tujuannya adalah untuk menyelaraskan keseluruhan Samsat Corner, meningkatkan pelayanan bagi wajib pajak sekaligus membentuk pandangan wajib pajak terhadap identitas Samsat Corner itu sendiri sebagai pusat pelayanan pembayaran PKB yang professional dan terpadu

Tax is a mandatory levy that must be paid by the taxpayers to the country for the importance of the government and the welfare of the general public. Therefore, paying tax is an obligation for the taxpayers. In order to facilitate the taxpayers in paying tax, East Java Samsat makes Samsat Superior Service which is Samsat Corner, as an innovation. Samsat Corner is a place where the taxpayers pay for the Vehicle Ownership Tax and the validation of Vehicle Registration Certificate. It is located in strategic places such as malls and shopping centers. It aims to ease the taxpayers whenever they want to pay for the Vehicle Ownership Tax, so they do not have to come to Samsat headquarter.
Among all Samsat Corners that have been visited, some do not have interior arrangement, information boards, use of color, nor the application of the same logo. Even sometimes it is hard for the taxpayers to find the location of Samsat Corner due to the lack of direction regarding the location. This causes difference between each Samsat Corners. By synchronizing each Samsat Corners, the identity of Samsat Corner can be known and identified by the taxpayers. Therefore, the writer decides to design Environmental Graphic Design (EGD) of Surabaya Samsat Corner. The purposes of this design are to synchronize the design of Samsat Corners, to increase the service towards the taxpayers, and also to establish the identity of Samsat Corner as the center of a professional tax paying service
