Abstract
Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember saat ini memiliki fasilitas lini produksi projektil peluru frangible namun proses lini produksi masih dijalankan secara manual yang membutuhkan tenaga manusia. Penelitian ini membahas mengenai perancangan sistem industrial automation system (IAS) terintegrasi lini produksi menggunakan Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) dari AVEVA berbasis Open Platform Communication (OPC) Archestra MBTCP. Perancangan IAS terintegrasi lini produksi dilakukan supaya tercapai 4 parameter tujuan sistem pengendalian yaitu efektivitas, efisiensi, safety, dan mutu produksi. Sistem lini produksi meliputi 4 plant utama yaitu material handling, mixing, compacition, dan sintering. Secara keseluruhan terdapat 33 instrumen yang datanya akan diakuisisi. Terdapat 2 programmable logic controller (PLC) yang digunakan pada lini produksi ini yaitu untuk keseluruhan lini dan untuk proses compaction sendiri yang mana data dari PLC akan dikirimkan OPC server melalui ethernet. Komunikasi data antara plant dan PLC terdapat beberapa error sebesar 83% yang diketahui karena perbedaan pembacaan, namun dari PLC menuju SCADA tidak ditemukan error. Pada proses material handling, untuk mengendalikan rasio material terdapat error kurang dari 1%. Penambahan IAS mempermudah operasi produksi dan pencatatan produksi, serta peningkatan safety pada lini produksi karena tenaga manusia yang digunakan menjadi lebih sedikit dan tidak banyak perubahan parameter sistem ketika proses berlangsung

Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember recently has ammunition production line facility but still takes manpower to do the production process. This research contains engineering and construction of integrated Industrial Automation System (IAS) frangible ammunition projectile production line using Open Platform Communication (OPC) Archestra MBTCP based Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) from AVEVA. Development of Integrated IAS of ammunition projectile production line has been done to achieve 4 parameters of control system, which are, effectivity, efficiency, safety, and quality of production. This production line system contains 4 main plants, which are, material handling, mixing, compaction, and sintering where in this throughput system there are 33 instruments that has datas that will be acquired. There are 2 programmable logic controllers (PLCs) that used in this plant, one is for the main throughput system, and the other one is for compaction system only. Datas from the PLC will be sent to the OPC server via ethernet. There is communication error of 83% between plant and PLC however from the PLC to the Server there is no reading errors. In material handling process, there is ratio control system with the error of weighting below 1%. Engineering and construction of the IAS of the production line will eases the production operation and recording, also, the safety of the production line will be improved because it takes less manpower also less parameter changes during production
