Abstract

Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember merupakan salah satu kampus berbasis teknologi yang terletak di Sukolilo, Surabaya yang memiliki luas area kampus yang mencapai 180 hektar. Area kampus yang luas tersebut membuat ITS berupaya untuk memfasilitasi sivitas akademikanya dengan menyediakan fasilitas bus kampus. Namun, fasilitas bus kampus tersebut tampaknya kurang mendapat perhatian dari sivitas akademika sehingga perlahan berhenti beroperasi. Pada tahun 2011, ITS merencanakan suatu program kerja berupa Smart Eco Campus yang merupakan bagian dari rencana strategis milik ITS dalam mewujudkan kampus yang peduli dan memiliki budaya lingkungan yang dilakukan dengan pengelolaan lingkungan yang sistematis, konsisten serta berkesinambungan. Terdapat lima aspek dalam penerapan program ITS Smart Eco Campus, yaitu transportasi ramah lingkungan, energi, sampah, air, dan keanekaragaman hayati. Untuk menyukseskan program tersebut, diperlukan pengembangan kendaraan listrik kampus sebagai wujud implementasi program ITS Smart Eco Campus pada bidang transportasi. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini dimulai dengan melakukan observasi lapangan, metode shadowing, interview, dan studi literatur. Platform yang digunakan pada perancangan ini adalah Karsan JEST Electric yang akan disesuaikan dengan kebutuhan pengguna. Pengembangan untuk kendaraan kampus akan mengusung konsep modern dan minimalis. Konsep modern diterapkan pada pengoperasian moda transportasi yang memiliki fitur terintegrasi dan dapat diakses melalui gadget milik pengguna. Konsep modern dan minimalis juga diterapkan pada aspek desain moda transportasi sehingga kendaraan akan memiliki desain yang sederhana (simple) dan menarik. Ke depannya, pengoperasian armada harus seiring dengan penerapan regulasi tentang pembatasan jumlah kendaraan di Kampus ITS Sukolilo.

Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember is a technology-based campus located in Sukolilo, Surabaya which has a campus area of 180 hectares. The large campus area makes ITS strive to facilitate its academicians by providing campus bus facilities. However, the campus bus facility seems to have received less attention from the academic community so that it slowly stops operating. In 2011, ITS planned a work program in the form of a Smart Eco Campus which is part of ITS 'strategic plan to create a campus that cares and has an environmental culture carried out by systematic, consistent and sustainable environmental management. There are five aspects in implementing the ITS Smart Eco Campus program, these aspects are environmentally friendly transportation, energy, waste, water, and biodiversity. To succeed this program, it is necessary to develop campus electric vehicles as a form of implementation of the ITS Smart Eco Campus program in the transportation sector. The method used in this research begins with conducting field observations, shadowing methods, interviews, and literature studies. The platform used in this design is Karsan JEST Electric which will be tailored to the needs of the user. The development for campus vehicles will carry a modern and minimalist concept. The modern concept is applied to the operation of transportation that has integrated features and can be accessed through the user's gadget. The modern and minimalist concept is also applied to the transportation design aspects so that the vehicle will have a simple and attractive design. In the future, the operation of the fleet must be in line with the implementation of regulations on limiting the number of vehicles at the ITS Sukolilo Campus.
