Abstract

Indonesia merupakan negara agraris yang sebagian besarpenduduknya bekerja sebagai petani sehingga menyebabkan sektorpertanian berperan besar terhadap pertumbuhan ekonomi diIndonesia. Salah satu faktor produksi pertanian yang terpentingadalah pupuk karena dapat meningkatkan dan mengefisienkanproduksi baik secara kualitas, maupun kuantitas.Pupuk adalah bahan yang diberikan pada tanaman untukmemenuhi unsur yang dibutuhkan tanaman tersebut dalammemenuhi nutrisinya. Selain unsur utama (C,H,O) yang diperlukanuntuk melakukan fotosintesis, ada beberapa unsur yang wajibdipenuhi yaitu N, P, K, Ca, Mg, S. Tiga unsur pertama (N, P, K)adalah unsur tambahan yang persentasenya terbesar diantara unsurlainnya.
