Abstract

The use of geothermal potential is still at 8.9% or 2,130.6 MW in Indonesia, spurs
the optimization of electricity generation production. To accelerate in order to
achieve the target of geothermal power plant (GPP) electricity capacity, it is
necessary to control the homeostatic power plant work system. The design of the
GPP control system design with various types of control strategies used to see the
optimal results of electricity production. The aim is to see which strategy is able to
maintain power production in GPP. In this final project, the implementation of
supervisory control on GPP is designed to see the performance of the power output
produced by the turbine and economic profit. There are two types of strategic
control, namely the Turbine following Mode control structure and Coordinated
Control Mode. The results of the analysis of these two control strategies resulted in
a stable response in plants that succeeded in reducing energy consumption from
2506 kW to 535 kW with a profit of Rp 2,664,792/hour, then compared between the
Turbine Following Mode type of supervision strategy with Coordinated Control
Mode, which was able to maintain power production is Turbine following Mode
with the largest profit of 4,097,560 IDR/hour with 100% performance.
