Abstract
Kota Jakarta merupakan kota yang memiliki kepadatan penduduk terpadat di Indonesia dengan tingkat kepadatan penduduk per km2 sebesar 15.900 jiwa. Hal ini terjadi karena Kota Jakarta merupakan pusat perekonomian dan pemerintahan di Indonesia. Padatnya Kota Jakarta mengakibatkan sebagian besar penduduk Jakarta tinggal di pinggiran kota. Dengan demikian diperlukan sistem transportasi baik antar kota maupun intra kota. Transportasi atar kota yang sering digunakan adalah KRL Commuter Line yang menghubungkan Kota Jakarta dengan Kota Depok, Bekasi, Bogor, dan Tanggerang. Pengguna sistem transportasi umum KRL setiap tahun mengalami peningkatan yang signifikan. Dalam upaya menangani peningkatan pengguna KRL, pemerintah menerapkan sistem KRL dan Kereta Api antar kota dengan membuat proyek double-double track (jalur dwi ganda) dari Manggarai s/d Jatinegara dengan harapan dapat mengurangi permasalahan transportasi perkotaan seperti kemacetan, polusi udara, serta dapat meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat untuk memilih menggunakan transportasi publik. Sebagai mahasiswa Departemen Teknik Sipil Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember, salah satu syarat untuk menyelesaikan studinya diwajibkan untuk menjalankan kegiatan Kerja Praktik. Tujuan dari kegiatan ini adalah untuk meningkatkan wawasan mahasiswa mengenai bidang pekerjaan ketekniksipilan sehingga ilmu yang telah dipelajari selama perkuliahan dapat diterapkan dan dikembangkan dengan praktik langsung di lapangan. Penulis melaksanakan kegiatan Kerja Praktik pada Proyek Pembangunan Double-Double Track Paket A Fasilitas Perkeretaapian untuk Manggarai S/D Jatinegara Tahap II “Pekerjaan Mainline II” selama dua bulan terhitung dari tanggal 20 Juli 2021 – 21 Agustus 2021 dengan ranah pekerjaan sipil yaitu pekerjaan dinding penahan tanah, penimbunan tanah, dan box girder. Adapun permasalahan yang ditemui sangat beragam, mulai dari permasalahan teknis, non-teknis, hingga alur komunikasi. Selama kegiatan Kerja Praktik berlangsung, penulis mendapatkan pembelajaran hal baru mengenai alat, material, metode kerja, produktivitas, dan menghitung kekuatan perancah. Dari pengalaman penulis melaksanakan Kerja Praktik, seseorang yang bekerja dalam bidang teknik sipil mampu berpikir secara cermat dan sistematis jika terjadi permasalahan, memahami konsep dasar dari pembangunan, dan dapat berkomunikasi dengan baik antar stakeholder terkait.

The city of Jakarta is the city that has the densest population density in Indonesia, with a population density per km2 of 15,900 people. This happens because the city of Jakarta is the center of the economy and government in Indonesia. Due to the density of the city of Jakarta, most of the residents of Jakarta live in the suburbs of Jakarta. Thus, a good inter-city and intra-city transportation system is needed. Inter-city transportation that is often used is KRL Commuter Line which connects the city of Jakarta with the cities of Depok, Bekasi, Bogor, and Tangerang. Users of the KRL public transportation system each year experience a significant increase. In the government's efforts to deal with the increase in KRL users, the government seeks to implement the KRL system and inter-city trains by creating a double-double track project from Manggarai to Jatinegara by hopes to reduce urban transportation problems such as congestion, air pollution, and can increase public awareness to choose to use public transportation. As a student of the Department of Civil Engineering Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology, one of the requirements to complete the study is to be required to carry out practical work activities. The purpose of this activity is to increase student’s insight into the field of civil engineering work so that the knowledge that has been learned during lectures can be applied and developed with direct practice in the field. The author carries out practical work on the Double-Double Track Development Project Package A Railway Facilities for Manggarai S/D Jatinegara Phase II “Mainline II Work” for two months starting from July 20, 2021 – August 21, 2021, with the realm of civil works, namely retaining wall work, soil landfill, and box girder. The problems encountered were very diverse, from technical, non-technical, to communication problems. During the practical work, the authors learned new things about tools, materials, work methods, productivity, and calculating scaffold strength. From the author's experience carrying out practical work, someone who works in the field of civil engineering is to be able to think careful and systematically if problems occur, understand the basic concepts of construction, and can communicate well between relevant stakeholders.
