Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji secara teoritis
berbasis CFD proses gasifikasi batubara kualitas rendah di
dalam gasifier bertekanan rendah mengenai pengaruh rasio
02/coal terhadap distribusi temperatur dan distribusi produk
Geometri gasifier yang digunakan berbentuk silinder
dengan ukuran gasifier L/D=10,25 dengan D=0,2 m. Batubara
diinjeksikan kedalam gasifier dalam bentuk campuran setelah
dicampur air dengan konsentrasi 40% berat melalui lubang
utama (Primary Inlet) dengan ukuran 0.003m pada temperatur
300 K. Oksigen diinjeksikan melalui secondary inlet dengan
diameter 0,001328 m pada temperatur 300 K. Jenis batubara
yang digunakan adalah batubara Senakin yang berasal dari
Kalimantan yang termasuk ke dalam tipe batubara subbituminous
dan oksigen sebagai oksidiser. Variabel yang digunakan adalah
rasio massa 02/coaI 0.79; 0.89; 1.01.
Hasil yang diperoleh dalam simulasi tiga dimensi berupa
distribusi temperatur, distribusi fraksi massa produk untuk rasio
Ofcoal yang berbeda. Sernakin tinggi rasio Of coal temperatur
juga semakin tinggi. Kenaikan rasio Ofcoal menyebabkan
jumlah produk H2 dan CO menurun tetapi jumlah produk C02
meningkat.

Computational Fluid Dynamics can be used to analize the
effect of massflow inlet oxygen - coal on fluid flow profile and
product distribution on low rank coal gasification process in a
gasifier.
Cylinder geometry is used for gasifier with L/D = 10.25
where D = 0.2 m. Coal water mixture with 40% concentration of
water injected into gasifier through primary inlet which size
0.003 m at 300K. Pure Oxygen injected through secondary inlet
which size 0.001328 m at 300K. Coal type which applied is
Senakin coming from Kalimantan which included into type
subbituminous coal and oxygen as oksidiser. Variabel which
applied is various Ofcoal ratio 0.79; 0.89; 1.01.
The results of this research are showed, temperature
distribution, mass fraction of gasification product distribution for
different ratio Ofcoal. The results of this research are showed,

ratio decreases the H2 and CO concentration but increases the
C02 concentration in the product gas.
