Abstract

Revetment is one type of beach protection structure limited towave or current forces. Theencanaation of the revetment structure needs to be considered the determination of the dominant load that will later be received by the structure. In revetment composed of armour units basically, the armour unit cannot be stable in withstanding the wave force, therefore its size and shape must be planned to remain stable. In this study, an analysis of the stability of the revetment protective unit was conducted using a protective layer unit in the form of BPPT-Lock. The study used a method of experimental physical model testing with a slope angle of 1:2, variations in wave height (Hs), wave periods (Tp), and variations in water level elevation. The elevation of the water level usednis 38 cm, 35 cm, and 33 cm. The parameters used in this study are relative depth (D / Hs), stabilitas number (Hs / ΔDn), wave steepness (Hs / g),T^2 and percentage of damage. The results of this study showed that at the depth of HWL 38 cm has the lowest stability compared to MSL 35 and the depth of LWL 33 cm has the highest stability. At the depth of HWL 38 cm with the highest wave height Hs = 16 cm obtained the highest percentage of damage of 3.58%, while at the depth of MSL 35 cm and LWL 33 cm with the same wave height that is Hs = 16 cm obtained the highest damage of 1.69% and 1.13% respectively.
