Abstract

Korosi merupakan degradasi material yang terjadi secara alami dan pasti terjadi. Korosi sering menyebabkan kerugian terlebih pada struktur bangunan offshore. Dalam menanggulangi korosi, maka digunakan salah satu metode pencegahan korosi yaitu proteksi katodik dengan standar DnVGL-RPB401. Standar ini digunakan untuk mengetahui efisiensi anoda pada proteksi katodik. Pada penelitian ini, dilakukan perancangan ulang alat uji efisiensi anoda korban sesuai standar DnVGL-RPB401, dan selanjutnya dilakukan pengujian menggunakan variasi volume elektrolit, yaitu 7 liter, 10 liter, dan 15 liter. Desain alat uji yang dirangkai di ITS sudah dikalibrasi dengan alat uji pada PT. Fransasia Indocast (ICS) dengan presentase range 61,981% pada anoda korban ICS dan 0,1% pada anoda korban Vesca. Hasil efisiensi yang didapatkan pada variasi volume elektrolit 7 liter bernilai 147,53% untuk anoda korban ICS dan 113,22% untuk anoda korban Vesca, selanjutnya pada volume 10 liter yaitu 141,30% pada anoda korban ICS dan 111,55% pada anoda korban Vesca, dan terendah pada volume 15 liter yaitu 138,73% pada anoda korban ICS dan 102,54% pada anoda korban Vesca.

Corrosion is a material degradation that occurs naturally and inevitably occurs. Corrosion often causes losses, especially for offshore structures. In tackling corrosion, one of the corrosion prevention methods is used, namely cathodic protection with the DnVGL-RPB401 standard. This standard is used to determine the efficiency of the anode in cathodic protection. In this study, the sacrificial anode efficiency test equipment was redesigned according to the DnVGL-RPB401 standard, and then tested using variations in electrolyte volume, namely 7 liters, 10 liters, and 15 liters. The design of the test equipment assembled at ITS has been calibrated with the test equipment at PT. Fransasia Indocast (ICS) with a percentage range of 61.981% for the ICS sacrificial anode and 0.1% for the Vesca sacrificial anode. The efficiency results obtained at the 7 liter electrolyte volume variation are 147.53% for the ICS sacrificial anode and 113.22% for the Vesca sacrificial anode, then at a volume of 10 liters, namely 141.30% at the ICS sacrificial anode and 111.55% at the ICS anode. Vesca victim, and the lowest was at 15 liter volume, namely 138.73% at ICS sacrificial anode and 102.54% at Vesca sacrificial anode.
