Abstract

Peringatan Hari Lingkungan Hidup Sedunia tahun ini harus menjadi momentum refleksi bagi pemerintah. Pasalnya, kualitas udara menjadi sorotan kalangan pemerhati lingkungan. Menurut Air Quality Live Index (AQLI)2, kondisi kualitas udara di Indonesia tercatat terus memburuk sejak dua dekade terakhir, dan saat ini berada di peringkat ke-20 negara dengan kualitas udara terburuk di dunia. Dikarenakan hal tersebut, Dinas Perhubungan kembali menggalakkan pengujian kadar emisi kendaraan bermotor kepada masyarakat agar masyarakat paham dengan kondisi mesin kendaraannya dan paham bahwa dampak emisi kendaraan bermotor yang sudah tidak layak, sangat berpengaruh terhadap kesehatan udara. Untuk pengujian kadar emisi kendaraan bermotor digunakan alat yang bernama Gas Analyzer yang dapat menunjukkan kadar emisi pada kendaraan bermotor.
Ketika sistem mendeteksi emisi dari kendaraan bermotor yang diarahkan ke sensor, sistem akan bekerja untuk mengukur kadar emisi dari kendaraan bermotor, lalu Arduino Uno akan meneruskannya ke PC dengan bantuan modul komunikasi berupa Kabel USB Arduino. Hasil yang telah diuji ditampilkan di PC menggunakan aplikasi Arduino IDE. Yang nantinya data tersebut akan dibandingkan dengan standar emisi yang ditentukan oleh Dinas Perhubungan (DISHUB).
Dari hasil uji emisi, akan dapat terlihat permasalahan apa saja yang ada di kendaraan kita. Dan persentase kandungan gas yang dikeluarkan oleh kendaraan kita pun akan terlihat. Misalnya jika nilai Hidrokarbon (HC) diatas 4,5% maka kemungkinan terdapat masalah pada campuran udara dan bahan bakar yang tidak tepat, pembakaran yang tidak sempurna, dan sebagainya.

Commemoration of World Environment Day this year should be a moment of reflection for the government. The reason is that air quality is in the spotlight of environmentalists. According to the Air Quality Live Index (AQLI)2, the condition of air quality in Indonesia has been steadily deteriorating since the last two decades, and is currently ranked as the 20th country with the worst air quality in the world. Due to this, the Department of Transportation is again promoting the testing of motor vehicle emission levels to the public so that the public understands the condition of their vehicle engines and understands that the impact of motor vehicle emissions that are no longer feasible is very influential on air health. To test the emission levels of motorized vehicles, a tool called a Gas Analyzer is used which can show the emission levels of motorized vehicles.
When the system detects emissions from motorized vehicles that are directed to the sensor, the system will work to measure emission levels from motorized vehicles, then Arduino Uno will forward it to a PC with the help of a communication module in the form of an Arduino USB cable. The results that have been tested are displayed on a PC using the Arduino IDE application. Later the data will be compared with the emission standards determined by the Department of Transportation (DISHUB).
From the results of the emission test, you will be able to see what problems are in our vehicles. And the percentage of gas content released by our vehicles will also be seen. For example, if the Hydrocarbon (HC) value is above 4.5%, then there may be problems with an incorrect air and fuel mixture, incomplete combustion, and so on.
