Abstract

Kesehatan mental manusia merupakan permasalahan yang banyak muncul
dikarenakan tidak tercapainya beberapa tujuan hidup. Hal tersebut mengakibatkan
munculnya gangguan penyakit mental. Fasilitas klinik psikologis hadir sebagai
upaya pelayanan kesehatan pada masyarakat baik dalam fungsi kuratif maupun
rehabilitatif. Namun, terdapat permasalahan desain fasilitas kesehatan mental yang
menyebabkan pasien bertindak agresif dan mengganggu kenyamanan selama
proses kesembuhan pasien. Disorientasi spasial merupakan suatu permasalahan
pada bangunan yang timbul akibat desain yang lebih mengutamakan fungsi
keperawatan tanpa memperhatikan kebutuhan pasien. Musik merupakan salah satu
media yang dapat digunakan sebagai media terapi untuk penderita gangguan
mental. Tujuan dari tesis perancangan ini membuat desain fasilitas kesehatan
mental dengan penerapan arsitektur analogi musik yang disesuaikan dengan
kebutuhan baik fisik maupun mental pasien.
Penggunaan concept-based framework sebagai kerangka kerja pola pikir
merancang dengan merumuskan ide besar dari analisis konteks kebutuhan pasien
depresi. Metode observasi, dan mapping digunakan untuk mengeksplorasi dan
menganalisis kebutuhan tersebut. Klinik psikologis dengan penerapan arsitektur
analogi musik untuk membantu proses wayfinding sebagai hipotesis perancangan.
Ide tersebut digunakan untuk mempermudah pasien menemukan rute atau tempat
yang ingin dicapai pasien. Pada tahap selanjutnya menentukan propose moment dan
arrange elements yang digunakan sebagai penerapan dalam bentuk aspek formal
perancangan melalui proses design research.
Inovasi perancangan adalah desain berdasarkan garis melodi, ritme atau
tempo, dan kedinamisan pada unsur musik menjadi wujud arsitektur sebagai
penyelesaian masalah disorientasi spasial. Penerapan perancangan termasuk
translasi unsur ritme pada musik ke dalam wujud unsur perulangan bukaan, atau
ornamen bangunan lainnya, translasi garis melodi sebagai bentuk formal arsitektur.
Hal tersebut bertujuan menghindari disorientasi spasial pada bangunan dan tercipta
suasana bangunan yang mendukung proses terapi pasien.

Human mental health is a recurring problem because some purpose in life
is unattainable. This has resulted in mental disorders. Psychological clinic facilities
are present as public-health care efforts both in curative and rehabilitation
functions. However, there are design issues of mental health facilities that cause the
patient to act aggressively and disturb the comfort of the patient's recovery. Spatial
disorientation presents a problem in buildings that are due to a design that prioritises
nursing functions without regard to patient’s needs. Music is one medium that can
be used as a therapy medium for the mentally ill. The aim of the design thesis led
to a design of a mental health facility with an application of musical analogy
architecture adapteded to the needs of both the physical and the mental patients.
The use of concept-based the framework as a framework of thought design
by formulating big ideas from context analysis of the needs of depressed patients.
Observation methods, and mapping are used to explore and analyze these needs.
Psychological clinics with the architectural application of musical analogies to help
the wayfinding process as a design hypothesis. The idea is used to make it easier
for the patient to find the route or place he wants to reach. In the next stage
determining the opportune moment and arrange elements that are used as
applications in the formal aspect of design through the process of design research.
Design innovation is based on melody lines, rhythm or tempo, and
dynamism in musical elements becoming an architectural formula for solving
spatial disorientation. The application of the design involves translucency of the
elements of rhythm to music in the form of the reenact, or other building ornaments,
and the melody line as a formal form of architecture. This aim is to avoid spatial
disorientation in the building and to create an atmosphere that promotes patient
therapy.
