Abstract
Kayu merupakan salah satu bahan bangunan yang sudah lama dikenal oleh masyarakat dan merupakan bahan yang sangat sering dipergunakan, selain mudah didapat, harganya relatif murah dan memiliki nilai estetika yang tinggi, kayu juga termasuk sebagai bahan konstruksi bangunan yang berfungsi sebagai struktuur dan non struktur bangunan. PT. Aneka Timber & Furniture merupakan salah satu industri pengolahan kayu yang bergerak dibidang industri yang berorientasi pada ekspor import. Dalam proses produksinya PT. Aneka Timber & Furniture menggunakan berbagai alat pengolahan kayu, salah satunya adalah Mesin Finger Joint.Pada mesin finger joint terbagi menjadi 2 mesin yaitu mesin shaper dan mesin press. Pada mesin press terdapat 16 silinder pneumatik.
Pada sistem pneumatik 16 silinder mesin press yang dibuat menggunakan software fluidsm membutuhkan kapasitas sandart sebesar 0,5260 m³ menit dengan tekanan sebesar 8 Barg. Dengan total pressure drop yaitu sebesar 0,015 Bar. Volume Air Receiver untuk system pneumatic sebesar 1,5 m³ dengan kapasitas kompresor 0,55286 m³ menit dengan daya motor listrik sebesar 20,010 kW. Pada pemiilhan valve direkomendasikan dengan nilai flow coefficient (Cv) sebesar 0,289. Dari uji coba yang dilakukan, kuantitas produksi mengalami kenaikan sebesar 30% dengan waktu awal 42,25 detik untuk sekali proses dapat menghasilkan ±80 kayu perjam menjadi ±101 kayu perjam dengan waktu 35,3 detik untuk satu kali prosesnya.

Wood is a building material that has long been known by the public and is a
material that is very often used, besides being easy to obtain, the price is relatively
cheap and has a high aesthetic value, wood is also included as a building
construction material that functions as a structural and non-structural building. .
PT. Aneka Timber & Furniture is one of the wood processing industries engaged
in the export-import-oriented industry. In the production process PT. Various
Timber & Furniture use various wood processing tools, one of which is the Finger
Joint Machine. The finger joint machine is divided into 2 machines, namely the
shaper machine and the press machine. The press machine has 16 pneumatic
cylinders.
In a pneumatic system, a 16 cylinder press machine made using fluidsm
software requires a standard capacity of 0.5260 m³ minute with a pressure of 8
Barg. With a total pressure drop of 0.015 Bar. The Air Receiver volume for the
pneumatic system is 1.5 m with a compressor capacity of 0.55286 m minute with an
electric motor power of 20.010 kW. The valve selection is recommended with a flow
coefficient (Cv) of 0.289. From the trials carried out, the production quantity
increased by 30% with an initial time of 42.25 seconds for one process to produce
±80 wood per hour to ±101 wood per hour with a time of 35.3 seconds for one
process.
