Abstract
Indonesia merupakan negara berkembang tetapi untuk pengolahan sampahnya yang masih belum maksimal. Kementerian Pekerjaan Umum dan Perumahan Rakyat (PUPR) memiliki solusi untuk permasalahan pengelolahan sampah di Indonesia khususnya Wilayah II Nusa Tenggara Timur dengan membuat proyek pembangunan Pengelolahan sampah proses thermal. Namun pada saat proyek berjalan Belt Conveyor tersebut muatan terjadi tercecer dan adanya muatan tersangkut. Dikarenakan Idler/roller mengunakan flat idler yang dimana itu kurang maksimal (sebagian muatan yang diangkut ada yang tumpah dan muatan tersangkut pada lintasan horizontal ke miring conveyor). Maka, dari itu penulis melakukan Perencanaan Ulang Belt Conveyor dengan menggunakan Belt Conveyor dengan mengunakan troughed idler. Perencanaan ini meliputi perencanaan ulang Belt yang digunakan dilintasan conveyor, Perhitungan daya motor yang dibutuhkan untuk Belt conveyor, Perencanaan Rantai dan Sproket, lalu Perencanaan poros dan yang terakhir perencanaan Bearing. Belt Conveyor ini memiliki panjang 17 m dengan kecepatan Conveyor 0,1 m/s dan berkapasitas 4 ton/jam. Data hasil perencanaan ulang yaitu menggunakan belt 1 m, daya motor yang digunakan yaitu 5 kW, Rantai yang digunakan yaitu RS 100 dengan diameter sproket kecil 162,74 mm dan diameter sproket besar 243,24 mm. Bahan poros yang digunakan AISI 4620 dengan diameter 45 mm dan menggunakan bearing jenis cylindrical roller bearing yang berdiameter 45 mm.

Indonesia is a developing country but its waste processing is still not optimal. The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) has a solution to the problem of developing waste management in Indonesia, especially Region II East Nusa Tenggara by creating thermal process waste management projects. However, when the project is running, the Conveyor Belt is scattered and the load is stuck. This is because the idler/roller uses a flat idler which is less than optimal (some of the cargo being transported is spilled and the load is stuck on a horizontal track to the inclined conveyor). So, from that the authors do Re-planning Belt Conveyor using Belt Conveyor using troughed idler. This planning includes re-planning the belt used on the conveyor line, calculating the motor power needed for the conveyor belt, planning the chain and sprocket, then planning the shaft and finally planning the bearing. This Belt Conveyor has a length of 17 m with a conveyor speed of 0.1 m/s and a capacity of 4 tons/hour. The re-planned data is using a 1 m belt, the motor power used is 5 kW, the chain used is RS 100 with a small sprocket diameter of 162.74 mm and a large sprocket diameter of 243.24 mm. The shaft material used is AISI 4620 with a diameter of 45 mm and a cylindrical roller bearing with a diameter of 45 mm.
