Abstract
Indonesia merupakan negara maritim dengan luas wilayah lautan lebih besar dari wilayah daratan, sehingga potensi perikanan sangat besar untuk meningkatkan perekonomian masyarakat Indonesia. Sesuai data Badan Pusat Statistik Indonesia, produksi ikan budidaya tahun 2017 mencapai 4.057.215 Ton sehingga nilai produksi ikan budidaya meningkat seiring bertambahnya penduduk di Indonesia, meningkatnya nilai produksi perikanan berbanding lurus dengan permintaan pakan.
Komponen utama pada mesin pencetak pelet ikan terapung, antara lain screw extruder, mixer, dan crusher yang terintegrasi. Kapasitas perencanaan mesin pencetak pelet ikan terapung adalah 90 kg/jam, penulis bertujuan merencanakan komponen elemen mesin, daya motor penggerak yang diperlukan, dan analisa menggunakan software berbasis metode elemen hingga pada poros.
Hasil perencanaan teoritis poros extruder menghasilkan kapasitas 92 kg/jam, dimensi Ø 69 mm, dan panjang 600 mm. Tegangan Von-Misses teoritis sebesar 38,925 MPa, hasil simulasi berbasis metode elemen hingga menghasilkan tegangan Von-Misses sebesar 38,835 MPa. Sehingga hasil validasi perbandingan teoritis dengan simulasi untuk tegangan Von-Misses sebesar 0,231 %.

Indonesia is a maritime country with an ocean area larger than land area, the potential fisheries is very large to improve the economy of the Indonesian people. According to data from the Indonesian Central Statistics Agency, the production of cultivated fish in 2017 reached 4,057,215 tons. So, the production value of cultivated fish increases directly proportional with increase population in Indonesia, the increase in the value of fishery production is directly proportional to the demand for feed.
The main components of the floating fish pellet machine include an integrated screw extruder, mixer, and crusher. The planning capacity of the floating fish pellet machine is 90 kg/hour, the author aims to plan the machine elements, the required driving motor power, and analyze using software based on finite element method on the shaft.
The results of theoretical design extruder shaft produce screw extruder capacity 92 kg/hour, diameter screw extruder 69 mm, and length of screw extruder 600 mm. The result of theoretical Von-Misses stress is 38,925 MPa. The simulation result based on finite element method produce a Von-Misses stress of 38,835 MPa. So, the results of validation theoretical comparison with the simulation, for the Von-Misses stress is 0,231%.
