Abstract
Persaingan pasar logistik dewasa ini semakin ketat dan kompleks, sehingga perusahaan diharuskan melakukan efisiensi agar dapat bersaing dengan para kompetitor. PT X merupakan perusahaan 3PL di Indonesia yang memiliki proses operasional inti, yaitu transportasi. Truk trailer merupakan armada yang hampir selalu digunakan untuk mendukung kegiatan transportasi. Proses operasional yang berjalan saat ini di PT X menggunakan kombinasi private armada dengan porsi penggunaan 42.7% dan outsourcing 57.3% (dari armada kontrak long term dan spot market). Namun, perusahaan perlu melakukan proses efisiensi dikarenakan dengan proses yang berjalan selama ini tidak efisien, diketahui bahwa utilisasi armada rendah (tidak utilized), bahkan utilitas private armada lebih rendah dibanding dengan armada outsourcing, sehingga penggunaan private armada tidak dapat dimaksimalkan dan di saat yang sama, biaya yang dikeluarkan untuk armada outsourcing tersebut cenderung lebih tinggi. Selain itu keterlambatan pengiriman juga menjadi perhatian karena akan berdampak pada tingkat kepuasan pelanggan terhadap perusahaan. Untuk dapat bersaing dengan kompetitor, PT X melakukan perbaikan untuk mendapatkan hasil yang efisien secara internal (armada yang digunakan utilized, biaya yang efisien), secara eksternal mengurangi pengiriman yang terlambat, dengan cara menentukan proporsi yang optimal dari penggunaan armada yang digunakan untuk operasional antara private armada dan outsourcing (vendor dan dari spot market). Pada proses perbaikan menggunakan pendekatan Discrete Event Simulation dengan tiga indikator kinerja sebagai trade off, yaitu biaya (total cost), utilisasi (utilization) dan keadalan pengiriman (shipment reliability). Setelah mendapat hasil simulasi, dilakukan analisis menggunakan pendekatan Simple Additive Weighting dan diperoleh hasil bahwa skenario yang dipilih merupakan skenario dengan vendor based dengan persentase penggunaan armada yang dipenuhi dari armada outsourcing, yaitu 6 armada vendor dan sisanya akan di support oleh spot market. =================================================================================================
Today's logistics market competition is getting tighter and more complex, so companies are required to make efficiencies in order to compete with competitors. PT X is a 3PL company in Indonesia. It has a core operational process, namely transportation that is urgently needed by customers to deliver their goods and services to their expected destinations at low costd and on time. Truck trailer is a fleet that is almost always used to support transportation activities. The operational process currently running at PT X uses a combination of company's fleet (private fleet) with 42.7% and 57.3% outsourcing (from long term contracts and spot market). However, the company needs to carry out an efficiency process because the processes that have been running so far are not efficient, it is known that the utilization of the private fleet is low (not utilized), even the utility of the private fleet is lower than the outsourcing fleet, so the use of the private fleet cannot be maximized and at the same time, the costs incurred for the outsourced fleet tend to be higher. In addition, delivery delays are also a concern because it will have an impact on the level of customer satisfaction to company. To be able to compete with competitors, PT X made improvements to get efficient results internally (the fleet used utilized, cost more efficient), externally reduces late deliveries and can also reduce the selling price given to consumers so that it becomes more competitive price, by determining the optimal proportion of the use of the fleet used for operations, between the company's fleet and outsourcing ( long term contracts and from the spot market). The improvement process will use discrete-event simulation approach with three trade off performance indicators: total cost, utilization, and shipment reliability. After getting the simulation results, an analysis was carried out using the Simple Additive Weighting approach and the results obtained that the selected scenario was a vendor based scenario with the percentage of fleet usage fulfilled from the outsourcing fleet: 6 vendor fleets and the other necessary fleet will be supported by the spot market.
