Abstract

COVID-19 pandemic gives big impact on human beings and
constrains several aspects of life. Crisis caused by the pandemic
forces us to discover the right drug immediately. Ganoderma
lucidum is one of the most demanded medicinal mushroom. It has
been known as potent medicine since 100 B.C.E. Subcritical water
one of methods to extract ganoderic acids from G. lucidum. In this
study, three samples of G. lucidum powder, R1, R2, and R3, is
extracted and yields obtained from each sample are 0.665%,
1.0275%, and 1.6475%. Through molecular docking of ganoderic
acid E, F, GS-1, and H have been known to possess higher affinity
towards Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome - 2 receptor binding
domain (SARS-CoV-2 RBD). The result was indicated by their
relatively lower free binding energy compared with oseltamivir’s.
Further research of other ganoderic acids is needed by considering
RMSD values.
