Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh sulfat pada beton geopolimer berbasis fly ash tipe C. Benda uji dibuat dengan metode kering. Benda uji direndam dalam larutan sulfat konsentrasi 50 gram/900mL dan diuji pada umur rendaman 7, 14, 21, 28, 63, 91 hari. Ketahanan terhadap serangan sulfat dievaluasi dengan ekspansi beton. Sedangkan performa kuat tekan diuji pada 0, 28, 56, dan 112 hari setelah perendaman sulfat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kuat tekan beton telah memenuhi standar SNI 2847-2019 untuk implementasi di lingkungan sulfat dengan klasifikasi S1, yaitu lebih dari 28 MPa. Hasil pengujian ekspansi menunjukkan bahwa beton geopolimer berbasis fly ash tipe C tidak menunjukkan pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap paparan sulfat. Nilai ekspansi beton geopolimer lebih kecil daripada beton konvensional. Penelitian jangka panjang diperlukan untuk mengevaluasi penetrasi sulfat terhadap beton geopolimer berbasis fly ash tipe C.

This study investigates the effect of sulfate on geopolymer concrete
based on fly ash type C. The specimens were made using the dry method.
The specimens were immersed in a 50 gram/900mL sulfate solution and
tested at 7, 14, 21, 28, 63, 91 days of immersion. Resistance to sulfate
attack is evaluated by the expansion of the concrete. Meanwhile, the
compressive strength performance was tested at 0, 28, 56, and 112 days
of sulfate immersion. The results showed that the compressive strength of
the concrete had met the SNI 2847-2019 standard for sulfate exposure
classification of class S1, which is more than 28 MPa. The results of the expansion test showed that fly ash-based geopolymer concrete type C did
not show a significant effect on sulfate exposure. The expansion of
geopolymer concrete is smaller than portland cement concrete. Long-
term research is needed to evaluate sulfate penetration of geopolymer
concrete based on type C fly ash.
