Abstract

Mining and mineral sector starting to respond to several sustainability challenges in supporting Sustainable Development Goals. Mining Projects of rock and non-metal minerals that extract abundant non-renewable mineral resources are associated with problems related to economic, environmental and, social dimensions. Mining sustainability assessment is necessary to evaluate how far mineral resources exploitation especially rock and non-metal minerals on an area can contribute to sustainable development goals.
The concept of weak sustainability as a basic of mining sustainability implementation is necessary to have a new perspective on an assessment that can accommodate the uncertainty and imprecision. MADM / MCDM is look straightforward but is less representative of that concept. The Fuzzy Comprehensive Assessment (FCA) method which is a combination of AHP and Fuzzy was chosen because it can build objectivity in the decision-making process for mining sustainability assessments to cope with subjectivity and uncertainty.
The results of the study indicate that the Fuzzy Comprehensive Assessment (FCA) method is appropriate to use in the assessment of mining sustainability because it has fairly high reliability. Based on the results of sensitivity analysis, the scoring system developed is reliable with fluctuations in value and weight of ±10%. The level of reliability of the FCA method in the assessment of mining sustainability is quite high considering that there is uncertainty in the data collection process and the weighting of indicators.
