Abstract

Ir. Soekarno merupakan salah satu tokoh nasionalis sekaligus proklamator Indonesia yang dikenal dengan berbagai pemikirannya dalam aspek kehidupan yang beliau tuangkan dalam bentuk karya tulis, salah satunya adalah buku berjudul Sarinah. Sarinah merupakan karya tulis yang berisi buah pikiran dan pemahaman terhadap kesetaraan gender dan peran perempuan bukan hanya dalam sejarah bangsa, melainkan dalam peradaban umat manusia dalam kacamata Ir. Soekarno. Perancangan ini dilakukan untuk menceritakan pandangan Ir. Soekarno sebagai salah satu pendiri Negara Indonesia terhadap peran perempuan di masyarakat melalui metode alih wahana dengan memanfaatkan media yang lebih ringkas dan ringan bagi pembaca pemula buku Sarinah.
Perancangan ini bersifat kuantitatif dan kualitatif dengan metode pengumpulan data dari alih wahana, studi literatur, dan depth interview, dan kuisioner. Alih wahana dan studi literatur dilakukan pada karya tulis milik Ir. Soekarno yang berjudul Sarinah dan wawacara dilakukan bersama pakar dalam buku Sarinah. Kuisioner digunakan untuk memahami target audiens mengenai gaya hidup, minat, dan pengetahuan mengenai buku keperempuanan. Pengembangan konsep desain dilakukan melalui studi eksisting dan eksplorasi visual. Luaran media yang sudah selesai kemudian diujikan untuk menguji keefektifan media serta mendapatkan saran dari target audiens.
Luaran media dalam perancangan ini berupa buku visual dengan konsep “Semangat Kebangkitan Perempuan Indonesia”. Buku visual dipilih karena dianggap sesuai dengan kebutuhan terhadap media yang dapat menyampaikan isi pikiran Ir. Soekarno berdampingan dengan gambar visual secara komunikatif dan interaktif. Buku visual dalam perancangan ini akan dikerjakan menggunakan gaya ilustratif berwarna dan bahasa yang digunakan adalah Bahasa Indonesia baku sederhana.

Ir. Soekarno is one of the nationalist figures as well as the proclaimer of Indonesia who is known for his various thoughts in aspects of life and generally written in the form of writings, one of which was a book entitled Sarinah. Sarinah is a written work that contains ideas and understanding of gender equality and the role of women not only in the history of the nation, but in human civilization in the eyes of Ir. Sukarno. This design is done to tell the views of Ir. Soekarno as one of the founders of the State of Indonesia on the role of women in society through the transfer method by utilizing a more concise and lighter media for novice readers of Sarinah's book.
This design is quantitative and qualitative in nature with data collection methods from vehicle transfers, literature studies, and depth interviews, and questionnaires. Transfer of vehicles and literature studies were carried out on the writings of Ir. Soekarno entitled Sarinah and the interview was conducted with the experts in Sarinah's book. Questionnaires were used to understand the target audience about their lifestyle, interests, and knowledge of women's books. Design concept development is carried out through existing studies and visual exploration. The finished media output is then tested to test the effectiveness of the media and get suggestions from the target audience.
The media output in this design is in the form of a visual book with the concept of "The Spirit of the Awakening of Indonesian Women". The visual book was chosen because it is considered to be in accordance with the need for media that can convey the contents of Ir. Soekarno side by side with visual images in a communicative and interactive way. The visual book in this design will be done using a colorful illustrative style and the language used is simple standard Indonesian.
