Abstract

Photography is one of the sectors of the creative industry that is quite popular
by various circles. According to Kemenparekraf, photography is currently an
inseparable part of the 17 sub-sectors of the creative economy in Indonesia. In this
modern era, photography is still one of the most popular hobbies especially among
young people because it can be done in daily activities and can also be a promising
business opportunity. The current pandemic conditions also make some businessmen
have to ‘twist their brains’ to keep their business running. Quoted from an online
article, in the field of photography, the traveling photographer profession now must
become an impromptu photographer or is called a street photographer because they
must adapt to the current conditions. Street photographers tend to have a high mobility
because they have to move from place to place to get the desired spot. Photographers
belongings tend to be diverse, creating a camera bag market that also varies in terms
of function and appearance according to the needs of its users. Therefore, the authors
designed a camera bag design that can adapt to various user activities and can
accommodate various user activities. The author uses several methods such as
collecting data from several sources, conducting interviews, shadowing,
benchmarking, market analysis and various other analyzes to obtain user needs so
that later they can be formulated into design concepts. The result of this design is the
design of a camera bag with a convertible concept that can adjust to the classification
of activity needs and user luggage.
