Abstract

Proses produksi pada perusahaan X mengalami permasalahan yaitu jumlah produk yang dibuat tidak mencapai target yang telah ditetapkan. Perbandingan target produksi yang ingin dicapai pada masing – masing station dan data produksi perusahaan pada bulan oktober memberikan gambaran terkait
permasalahan tersebut. Belum tercapainya target produksi yang disebabkan oleh variasi kapasitas produksi pada station
menyebabkan tidak lancarnya aliran produksi.
Suatu metode diperlukan untuk menyelesaikan permasalahan tersebut dengan menggunakan metode value stream mapping analysis tools. Alur proses produksi didapatkan dengan pembuatan big picture mapping. Aktivitas yang terjadi pada masing – masing station diketahui dengan pembuatan process activity mapping yang kemudian dianalisa untuk mendapatkan penyebab dari permasalahan. Analisa menggunakan metode five why’s untuk mencari root cause dari permasalahan yang didapatkan. Terakhir usulan perbaikan dibuat untuk memberikan rekomendasi yang tepat bagi perusahaan.
Hasil dari penelitian didapatkan beberapa rekomendasi bagi perusahaan yaitu untuk mengurangi variasi kapasitas produksi perlu dilakukan perubahan process activity pada tahapan lost wax dan assembly, menjaga ketersediaan wax, pembuatan part pada station wax injection mempertimbangkan stock yang ada dan menambah jumlah furnace yang dikhusukan untuk proses heat treatment, melakukan pembaruan kontrak pekerja. Kemudian untuk meningkatkan kapasitas produksi diperlukan perubahan process activity pada tahapan assembly, dan penambahan jumlah tungku melting

The production process at company X has a problem, the total number of products made does not reach the set target. The comparison of the production targets to be achieved at each station and the company's production data in October provides an overview of these problems. The production target has not been achieved due to variations in production capacity at the station causing the production flow to be not smooth.
A method is needed to solve this problem by using the value
stream mapping analysis tools method. The production process
flow is obtained by making big picture mapping. Activities that occur at each station are known by making a process activity mapping which is then analyzed to find the cause of the problem. The analysis uses the five why's to find the root cause of the problems obtained. Finally, improvement proposals are made to provide appropriate recommendations for the company.
The results of the study obtained several recommendations
for companies, namely to reduce variations in production capacity, it is necessary to change the processing activity at the lost wax and assembly stages, prevent wax’s stock from any losses, manufacture parts at station wax injection considering the existing stock, increase the number of furnaces devoted to the heat treatment process, change worker’s contract. Then, to increase production capacity and increase the number of melting furnaces
