Abstract

Kelas hibrid membutuhkan kamera yang dapat menangkap setiap posisi pendidik dan juga siswa di kelas agar pendidik dapat mengajar siswa di kelas maupun siswa yang hadir secara daring dengan efisien, serta agar siswa yang hadir secara daring dapat mempelajari setiap materi selama kelas berlangsung tanpa merasakan adanya batasan terhadap ruang kelas. Kamera tersebut perlu memiliki kemampuan menangkap setiap posisi pendidik saat mengajar, dan nenangkap siswa luring ketika hendak berbicara di kelas. Pada penelitian ini dikembangkan sebuah smart camera system yang terdiri atas smart camera unit dan aplikasi desktop Bernama Hycam. Sistem tersebut memungkinkan kamera mendeteksi wajah pendidik saat mengajar, dan siswa saat berbicara di kelas, sehingga keduanya dapat terlihat oleh siswa daring selama kelas hibrid berlangsung. Sistem ini juga memungkinkan pendidik dan siswa mengontrol kamera menggunakan gestur tangan dengan tiga kondisi, diantaranya pendidik mengontrol kamera menangkap siswa daring saat bicara menggunakan gestur tangan “Rised hand ✋”, siswa mengembalikan posisi kamera ke arah pendidik dengan gestur tangan “Thumb up hand

Hibrid classes require cameras that can capture every position of lecturer and students
in the class so that lecturer can teach onsite and online students efficiently, and so that online
students can learn to every material during class without feeling the limitations of the
classroom. The camera needs to have the ability to capture every position of the lecturer while
teaching, and capture offline students when they want to speak in class.
In this study, a smart camera system was developed which consisted of a smart camera
unit and a desktop application called Hycam. The system allows the camera to detect the faces
of lecturer while teaching, and students while speaking in class, so both can be seen by online
students during hibrid classes. This system also allows lecturer and students to control the
camera using hand gestures with three conditions, including the lecturer controlling the
students returning the camera position to the lecturer
