Abstract
Display pameran merupakan meja untuk menunjang segala aktivitas kerja pengrajin kulit mulai dari untuk menampilkan objek pameran dan melakukan demo produk, aktivitas produksi, penyimpanan tools, hingga sarana penunjang pameran. Industri kerajinan kulit membutuhkan fasilitas yang dapat menunjang proses pameran dan produksi dengan menggunakan meja yang di desain sesuai dengan kebutuhan industry kerajinan kulit. Maka dari itu perlu dilakukan pengembangan produk dengan melalukan riset sebagai acuan dalam mengembangkan desain dari produk tersebut agar terus hidup dalam siklus hidup produk. Riset ini menggunakan Verne Indonesia sebagai objek dan acuan peneliti dalam perancangan desain furniture untuk pengrajin kulit jahit tangan dengan sistem folding. Furniture display ini di desain dengan sistem folding , yaitu teknik untuk meminimalisir ruang dengan cara melipat bagian furniture sehingga dapat menghemat ruang dan memudahkan proses membawanya . Desain furniture display ini dibuat dengan memperhatikan berbagai aspek seperti aktivitas pameran, ergonomi, anthropometry, material, sistem lipatan, layout meja kerja, dan storage. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah dengan melakukan studi pustaka, observasi langsung, dan wawancara mendalam dengan pengrajin kulit Verne Indonesia, yang akan dipakai sebagai tolak ukur dan acuan dalam menganalisis kebutuhan desain pada produk display pameran untuk industry kulit. Manfaat dari riset yang dilakukan adalah untuk mencari kebutuhan pengrajin kulit terhadap desain produk display pameran sesuai dengan kebutuhan dan kenyamanan kerja pengrajin kulit dalam meningkatkan produktivitas.

An exhibition display is a table to support any activity done by leather artisan, starting from displaying the exhibition object, production process, tools storage, and even a medium by means as a supporter of the exhibition. The leather handicraft industry is in dire need of a facility that can be helpful to the exhibition process and production by using tables that are designed to fit with the necessities of the leather handicraft industry. For that reason, product development is required by conducting research as a reference to maximize designs from the product in order for it to keep living in the living cycle of the product. The conducted research uses Verne Indonesia as an object and a reference for the researcher in furniture designing to the hand-sewn leather artisan who applies folding system. This furniture display is designed with a folding system, a technique to minimize the existence of space by folding parts of the furniture to save spaces and ease the transportation process. There are a few aspects to be considered in order to make a furniture display design, such as exhibition activity, ergonomic, anthropometry, materials, folding system, work desk layout, and storage. The methods used in this research are literature review, first-hand observation, and in-depth interviews with the leather artisans of Verne Indonesia, which will be used as a benchmark in analyzing the design necessities of the exhibition’s display product for the leather industry. By undergoing this research, the author wishes to look for the artisans’ primary needs regarding exhibition display’s design products according to the convenience of leather artisans to advance their working productivity.
