Abstract
PT Kaltim Amonium Nitrat (KAN) merupakan perusahaan hasil kerjasama antara PT DAHANA (Persero) dengan PT Pupuk Kalimantan Timur. Untuk memenuhi kebutuhan Amonium Nitrat dan Asam Nitrat, maka PT Kaltim Amonium Nitrat bermaksud untuk mendirikan sebuah pabrik amonium nitrat dan juga pabrik asam nitrat. Pabrik ini sendiri direncakan memiliki kapasitas produksi Amonium Nitrat sebesar 75.000 ton per tahun dan Asam Nitrat sebesar 60.000 ton per tahun. Dalam pembangunannya, pabrik ini akan dikerjakan oleh konsorsium PT Wijaya Karya (Persero) Tbk dengan SEDIN ENGINEERING CO., LTD. Pada kegiatan magang ini, penulis ditempatkan sebagai quantity surveyor atau QS. Quantity surveyor sendiri termasuk dalam divisi komersial. Terdapat beberapa penugasan yang diberikan selama magang yaitu pengolahan data dan pengecekan fabrikasi dan waste rebar, review laporan Material Take-Off, Penyusunan Laporan QS, Pengolahan data cuaca harian, dan pengajuan tagihan dari vendor dan mandor.

PT Kaltim Ammonium Nitrate (KAN) is a joint venture between PT DAHANA (Persero) and PT Pupuk Kalimantan Timur. To meet the needs of Ammonium Nitrate and Nitric Acid, PT Kaltim Ammonium Nitrate intends to establish an ammonium nitrate plant as well as a nitric acid plant. The factory itself is planned to have a production capacity of 75,000 tons of Ammonium Nitrate per year and 60,000 tons of Nitric Acid per year. For the construction, this factory will be constructed by a consortium between PT Wijaya Karya (Persero) Tbk with SEDIN ENGINEERING CO., LTD. In this internship, the author is placed as a quantity surveyor or QS. Quantity surveyors are included in the commercial division. There are several assignments given during the internship, there are data processing and checking of fabrication and waste rebar, review of Material Take-Off reports, Preparation of QS Reports, Processing of daily weather data, and submission of invoices from vendors and foremen.
