Abstract
Plastik merupakan bahan yang sangat sulit terurai, untuk mengatasi masalah limbah plastik, maka perlu dilakukan daur ulang sampah plastik sebagai material yang memiliki fungsi. Seperti contoh plastik daur ulang jenis LDPE (Low Density Polyethylene). Oleh karena itu pada penelitian tugas akhir ini dibuatlah material tersebut sebagai material kulit kapal ikan 7 GT dengan 5 variasi penambahan penguat core bambu yaitu meliputi Plastik (P), Plastik Ori Plastik (POP), Plastik Betung Plastik (PBP), Plastik Ori Betung Plastik (POBP) dan Ori Plastik Betung Plastik Ori (OPBPO). Bertujuan untuk melakukan inovasi dan mengurangi limbah plastik yang sulit terurai untuk material yang lebih bermanfaat. Analisa teknis dilakukan pengujian tarik pada standar ASTM D638 dan ASTM D790 untuk pengujian tekuk. Dari hasil pengujian tarik didapatkan rata-rata kuat tarik terbesar material POP 32,2 Mpa, dan pengujian tekuk dengan rata-rata hasil terbesar pada variasi OPBPO 58,526 Mpa. Pada semua variasi yang telah diuji memenuhi kriteria minimum sifat mekanik yang disyaratkan oleh DNV dan Turkloyd. Kemudian hasil pengujian tarik dan tekuk ini digunakan sebagai dasar perhitungan biaya material sehingga didapatkan kolerasi sifat mekanik dengan harga pokok pembangunan kulit kapal ikan. Biaya pembangunan kulit kapal ikan dengan ketebalan kontruksi kulit 44 mm paling ekonomis terdapat pada variasi POP dan PBP sebesar Rp. 60.456.352. Dimana biaya tersebut lebih mahal dibandingkan dengan kapal berbahan laminasi bambu dengan total biaya pembangunan kulit kapal sebesar Rp. 57.749.791. namun mengingat kembali tujuan dari pembangunan kapal tersebut adalah untuk mengurangi limbah plastik yang sulit terurai.

Plastic is a material that is very difficult to decompose, to overcome the problem of plastic waste in the world, it is necessary to recycle plastic waste as a material that has a function such as recycled plastic type LDPE (Low Density Polyethylene). Therefore, in this final project, the material is made as a 7 GT fishing boat skin material with 5 variations of bamboo core reinforcement with codes Plastic, Plastic Ori Plastic (POP), Plastic Betung (PBP), Plastic Ori Betung (POBP) and Ori Plastic Betung Plastic Ori (OPBPO), as a goal to innovate and reduce plastic waste that is difficult to decompose for more useful materials. Testing is done by analyzing the technical and economical. Technical analysis carried out tensile and bending tests referring to the standard ASTM D638 tensile test and ASTM D790 for bending test. From the results of the tensile test, the largest average tensile strength of POP is 32,2 Mpa, and the bending test with the largest average yield on the OPBPO variation is 58,526 Mpa. All variations that have been tested meet the minimum criteria for mechanical properties required by DNV and Turkloyd. The results of the tensile and bending tests are used as the basis for calculating the material costs. So that the correlation of mechanical properties with the cost of constructing fishing boat skins is obtained. The most economical cost of constructing fishing boat skin is in the variation of POP and PBP of 60.456.352 IDR. The cost is more expensive compared to boats made of bamboo laminate, the shipbuilding costs 57,749,791 IDR. But considering that the purpose of building the ship is to reduce plastic waste that is difficult to decompose.
