Abstract
Keberadaan Pendhapa Ageng Sasana Sewaka dan tari Bedhaya Ketawang yang dipentaskan setiap Tingalan Jumenengan Dalem (Peringatan Naik Tahta) Raja Keraton Kasunanan Surakarta Hadiningrat menunjukkan hubungan yang erat antara bangunan dan tarian (content—container). Penelitian terhadap
eksistensi Pendhapa Ageng Sasana Sewaka sebagai produk arsitektur dan tari Bedhaya Ketawang sebagai produk seni, menegaskan adanya hubungan yang saling melengkapi sebagai fenomena wadah dan isi sebagai kesatuan yang tidak
dapat dipisahkan dari filosofi budaya masyarakat Jawa. Kebersatuan tersebut memberikan kehidupan bagi bangunan Pendhapa Ageng Sasana Sewaka. Ini menunjukkan bahwa arsitektur tidak hanya sebatas bentuk fisik bangunan namun
juga memiliki jiwa sehingga menandakan eksistensi bangunan merupakan kehidupan (jiwa) bangunan.
Penelusuran eksistensi Pendhapa Ageng Sasana Sewaka dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode fenomenologi. Adapun pendekatannya digunakan
pendekatan yang mengelaborasikan pemikiran being-in-the-world dan ngudi
kasampurnan. Dua pendekatan tersebut dilakukan dengan mengeksplorasi rasa
pangrasa, rasa rumangsa, rasa sejati, dan rasa sejatining rasa penari Bedhaya
Ketawang saat menarikan tari Bedhaya Ketawang di Pendhapa Ageng Sasana Sewaka.
Penelitian tersebut menghasilkan konsep pusat di pusat, pusat terpusat,
dan pusat memusat yang menghasilkan ruang sakral di Pendhapa Ageng Sasana
Sewaka. Ruang sakral berada di area saka guru terbentuk akibat jalinan tari
Bedhaya Ketawang dengan bangunan Pendhapa Ageng Sasana Sewaka. Ini menandakan bahwa dalam arsitektur Jawa ruang sakral tidak hanya terbentuk
secara fisik namun juga terbentuk melalui kegiatan pengguna bangunan di
bangunan yang digunakannya.

The existence of Pendhapa Ageng Sasana Sewaka and Bedhaya
Ketawang dance is staged every Tingalan Jumenengan Dalem (King’s
Corronation Day) King of Keraton Kasunanan Surakarta Hadiningrat shows
strong relation between building and dance (content—container). The research
of the existence of Pendhapa Ageng Sasana Sewaka as architecture product
and Bedhaya Ketawang dance as art product, affirms complimentary one another
as a phenomenon of content and container as a unity that is inseparable with
Javanese social culture philosophy. This unity gives life to the building of
Pendhapa Ageng Sasana Sewaka. It shows that architectures is not only
limited to physical appearance but it also has soul which marks the building
existence as the soul of the building.
The search of Pendhapa Ageng Sasana Sewaka existence is done through
phenomenology method. The approach to this method is using the theory of
being-in-the-world and ngudi kasampurnan. In capable reading the approach
is explored through the feeling (rasa pangrasa, rasa rumangsa, rasa sejati, and
rasa sejatining rasa) of Bedhaya Ketawang dancers while dancing Bedhaya
Ketawang in Pendhapa Ageng Sasana Sewaka.
This reseach results several concepts which are center in center,
centralized center, and converging center resulting sacred space in Pendhapa
Ageng Sasana Sewaka. Sacred space locates in the area of saka guru shaped as
relation between Bedhaya Ketawang dance and Pendhapa Ageng Sasana Sewaka
building. It shows that in Javanese architecture sacred space is not shaped
physically but it is also shaped through user’s activity in the building where user
is occupying in.
