Abstract

Manajemen pertemuan atau rapat akan dibutuhkan kapanpun waktunya ketika dua atau lebih orang butuh berkomunikasi dalam waktu yang bersamaan. Proses pengelolaan pertemuan atau rapat ini akan menjadi sebuah permasalahan tersendiri untuk diaplikasikan bagi sebuah organisasi yang individu-individu di dalamnya bersifat heterogen, artinya memiliki tugas dan tanggung jawab yang berbeda. Permasalahan juga dapat muncul dari proses pemanfaatan teknologi informasi dalam penyaluran informasi-informasi rapat yang dibutuhkan. Seperti halnya yang dialami di Jurusan Sistem Informasi ITS. Berdasarkan keadaan yang telah dijabarkan sebelumnya, penulis kemudian melakukan penelitian untuk menemukan rancangan aplikasi yang mampu mengatasi permasalahan pengelolaan rapat ini. Berdasarkan hasil spesifikasi kebutuhan user yang telah didapat dari penggalian data, maka dikembangkanlah Aplikasi Pengelolaan Rapat pada Jurusan Sistem Informasi. Hasil dari tugas akhir ini adalah aplikasi pengelolaan rapat yang dapat melakukan penyimpanan dan pengecekan jadwal rapat dosen dan karyawan. Aplikasi juga dapat mengirim informasi berupa pemberitahuan jadwal rapat melalui layanan pesan singkat dengan mengintegrasikan layanan Gammu SMS gateway. Selain ituf dengan memanfaatkan library email dariframework Codeigniter, aplikasi dapat menyebarkan informasi rapat lainnya menggunakan layanan surat elektronik

Meeting or meeting management will be needed at any time when two or more people need to communicate at the same time. The process of managing this meeting or meeting will be a problem in itself to be applied to an organization where the individuals in it are heterogeneous, meaning they have different duties and responsibilities. Problems can also arise from the process of using information technology in distributing the required meeting information. As is the case with the ITS Information Systems Department. Based on the conditions previously described, the authors then conducted research to find an application design that was able to overcome the problem of managing this meeting. Based on the results of user requirements specifications that have been obtained from data mining, a Meeting Management Application for the Information Systems Department was developed. The result of this final project is a meeting management application that can store and check lecturer and employee meeting schedules. Applications can also send information in the form of meeting schedule notifications via short message services by integrating the Gammu SMS gateway service. In addition to ituf by utilizing the email library from Codeigniter framework, applications can disseminate other meeting information using electronic mail services
