Abstract

Di era teknologi yang makin pesat ini pergutuan tinggi sebagain institusi yang kompleks memerlukan pengelolaan pendataan mahasiswa baru secara menyeluruh untuk keperluan pemrosesan daftar ulang, melakukan proses verifikasi, pengumuman informasi kegiatan dan berkas yang dibutuhkan mahasiswa baru, dan penetapan Uang Kuliah Tunggal (UKT) sesuai indeks kemampuan orang tua. Perguruan tinggi memerlukan sebuah sistem informasi yang dapat mengakomodir beberapa fungsi tersebut, Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) Surabaya sebelumnya telah mengakomodir fungsi tersebut dalam mengelola pendataan mahasiswa baru melalui aplikasi yang tersedia dengan nama aplikasi nya Sistem Pendataan Mahasiswa baru (SIPMABA). Dengan aplikasi SIPMABA, pengguna mahasiswa baru dapat mendaftarkan diri untuk verifikasi data, mengunduh berkas daftar ulang, mengetahui informasi kegiatan mahasiswa baru, dan penetapan UKT. Akan tetapi, aplikasi tersebut masih memerlukan pengembangan sistem khususnya pada desain antarmuka pengguna yang masih terdapat masalah pada bug yang masih sulit dipahami pengguna. Penulis akan mengembangkan perancangan desain antarmuka pengguna SIPMABA untuk meningkatkan efektivitas dan efisiensi dari sistem yang telah ada sebelumnya. Penulis akan merancang antarmuka beberapa fitur yang akan dikembangkan yaitu proses pendaftaran ulang, banding UKT, memperoleh informasi pengumuman dan informasi, dan dapat mengunduh berkas yang dibutuhkan ketika daftar ulang. Metode yang akan digunakan dalam pengembangkan web myITS StudentRegistration adalah User-centered Design yang berfokus pada pemecahan masalah berdasarkan kebutuhan penggunanya. Hasil Tugas Akhir ini diharapkan myITS StudentRegistration dapat menjadi aplikasi web yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan pengguna serta meningkatkan efektifitas, efisiensi, dan engagement dengan pengguna.

In this era of increasingly rapid technology, higher education as a complex institution requires comprehensive data management of new students for the purposes of processing Student registration, conducting the verification process, announcement of activity information and files needed by new students, and determining the Uang Kuliah Tunggal (UKT) according to the index. parental abilities. Universities need an information system that can accommodate some of these functions, the Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) Surabaya previously accommodated these functions in managing new student data collection through an available application with the name of the application, Sistem Pendataan Mahasiswa Baru (SIPMABA). With the SIPMABA application, new student users can register for data verification, download Student registration files, find out information on new student activities, and determine UKT. However, the application still requires system development, especially in the user interface design where there are still problems with bugs that are still difficult for users to understand. The author will develop the design of the SIPMABA user interface to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of the existing system. The author will design the interface of several features that will be developed, namely the Student registration process, UKT appeals, obtaining announcements and information, and being able to download the files needed when Student registering. The method that will be used in developing the myITS Student Registration web is User-centered Design which focuses on problem solving based on the needs of its users. The result of this Final Project is expected that myITS Student registration can become a web application that suits user needs and increases effectiveness, efficiency, and engagement with users.
