Abstract

==============================================================================================================================
East Pontianak Water Distribution Networks (WDNs) is the WDNs with the highest water loss level. In 2021 at Perumda Air Minum Tirta Khatulistiwa. It has an NRW of 44.24%, much higher than the 30.95% BKST WDNs and North Pontianak WDNs 21.74%. This condition continued in the first quarter of 2022, when East Pontianak WDNs had NRW 44.34%, BKST WDNs 29.31% and North Pontianak WDNs 14.07%. One of the causes of the high NRW in East Pontianak WDNs is due to over pressure in the system input. In this study, an analysis of water loss reduction was carried out through pressure management at the East Pontianak WDNs. The analysis was carried out by modeling the pressure on the East Pontianak WDNs based on the customer's demand pattern, which was previously obtained through DMA data processing. The installed data logger provides discharge data at system inputs (IPA Parit Major, Master Meter DMA) and pressure data at system inputs, DMA inputs, and critical points. Customer water usage data is obtained from billed account data originating from the service department. The leakage value is represented by the emitter coefficient by modeling through EPANET 2.2. Changes in system input pressure require pressure correction in the service area through network repairs, booster placement and pump adjustments. The difference from the system input discharge savings obtained in the simulation compared to the investment value incurred for pressure improvement through a financial feasibility analysis. Modeling in Alternative 1 through the treatment of pressure drop at the input supply by an average of 10,37%, the water loss decreased by 0,55% or 228 m3/day. In Alternative 2, the pressure drop treatment at the input supply is an average of 33.13% accompanied by the operation of a booster in Ambawang and pipe repairs in the field resulting the decrease in water loss of 3,07% or 1.217 m3/day. In Alternative 3, the pressure reduction treatment at the input supply was an average of 40,38% accompanied by the operation of boosters in Ambawang and Tanjung Raya 1 and pipe repairs in the field resulting the decrease in water loss of 3,33% or 1.316 m3/day. Alternatif 3 is the best alternative that can be recomend to decrease the water loss at East Pontianak WDNs. The result of the analisys shows that Alternative 3 has cumulative NPV is Rp. 3.041.021.185, while Break Even Point (BEP) is 9 years 1 Month, BCR value is 1,12 and IRR 12,41%.
