Abstract

Pada era modern ini, kebutuhan manusia terhadap material pada bidang kontruksi bangunan laut seperti pemilihan bahan untuk bidang perpipaan, konstruksi bangunan laut dan perkapalan. Terdapat beberapa macam pilihan material yang sesuai. Korosi yang terjadi pada logam tidak dapat dihindari, tetapi hanya dapat dicegah dan dikendalikan sehingga logam mempunyai masa pakai/guna lebih lama. Pemberian lapisan coating anti korosi merupakan salah satu cara untuk melindungi material dari proses korosi. Pada penelitian ini, dilakukan pengujian kekuatan adhesi dan pengujian laju korosi pada Epoxy Coating pada baja ASTM A36 yang divariasikan dengan mengubah suhu material spesimen. Hal ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui hasil kualitas coating yang dilakukan masih memenuhi standar dengan dilakukan variasi suhu spesimen. Dari pengujian adhesi dan laju korosi yang telah dilakukan didapatkan hasil bahwa suhu spesimen 500C mempunyai hasil yang paling baik. Pada pengujian dengan variasi suhu 500C mendapatkan nilai kekuatan adhesi sebesar. 8,81Mpa. Sedangkan untuk pengujian laju korosi memiliki nilai tertinggi sebesar 0.010219 mmpy.

In this modern era, human needs for materials in the field of marine building construction such as the selection of materials for the field of piping, construction of marine buildings and shipping. there are several kinds of suitable material choices. Corrosion that occurs in metal cannot be avoided, but can only be prevented and controlled so that the metal has a longer service life. Giving an anti-corrosion coating is one way to protect the material from the corrosion process. In this research, the adhesion strength and corrosion rate tests were carried out on Epoxy Coating on ASTM A36 steel which was varied by changing the temperature of the specimen material. This purpose to determine the quality results of the coating carried out still meet the standards by varying the temperature of the specimen. From the adhesion and corrosion rate tests that have been carried out, the results show that the specimen temperature of 500C has the best results. In the test with a temperature variation of 500C, the value of the adhesion strength is 8.81Mpa. Meanwhile, the corrosion rate test has the highest value of 0.010219 mmpy.
