Abstract

==============================================================================================================================
Banyuwangi is located at the eastern end of East Java, which is known for its abundant natural and marine resources. For the national marine industry, marine tourism in Banyuwangi has great potential to be developed sustainably. One of them is the coast in Wongsorejo, which has the potential for marine tourism, namely Grand Watudodol Beach, Bangsring Beach, Tabuhan Island, Bengkak Mangrove Center, and Bimo Beach. Tourism is part of the leading sector in Banyuwangi, contributing to the source of national income. However, the COVID-19 pandemic since 2020 until now continues to reduce economic conditions on the coast of Wongsorejo. The economic recovery pursued by the Banyuwangi Government through the tourism sector with the largest multiplier effect is in the form of the “Banyuwangi Rebound” Movement. So, with the Weighted Overlay method on hydro-oseanographic data, we can find out the distribution of MET objects and the FTA (Fault Tree Analysis) method can find out the causes of the decline in Marine Ecotourism management so that efforts to develop Marine Ecotourism in the economic recovery of Post COVID-19 coastal communities in Wongsorejo can be formulated. The results found that there are internal and external factors of the main problem identified. The biggest causes of these factors are the low quality of human resources and the lack of innovation to utilize the potential of marine ecotourism in a sustainable manner. Solutions in improving ecotourism management involve empowering communities and stakeholders, providing training, mapping the potential of marine ecotourism and its protected areas, implementing integrated tourism programs, and increasing branding to achieve sustainable development.
