Abstract

Electricity is one of the sources of energy needed for daily activities. Almost all electronic equipment uses electrical energy to operate. However, what often happens in everyday life, especially in the operational world, is that users do not know the time used to operate various electronic equipment, resulting in waste of electricity and costs. Therefore, this research was conducted with the aim of designing and creating a system that can monitor and limit the use of electrical power in office buildings with Internet of Things-based technology. In this final project research, a control system and restriction on the use of electric power will be realized which will then be tested at Telkom's Kebayoran office. After the system for monitoring and limiting the use of electric power has been successfully realized, testing will be carried out with Quality of Service (QoS) analysis using the parameters Delay, Throughput, Packet Loss, and jitter to be able to determine the quality of data transmission. The test results then show that the system of monitoring and limiting the use of electric power that has been created has a relatively good QoS (Quality of Service). This is based on a comparison of the parameter data obtained with the design that has been made and the TIPHON (Telecommunications and Internet Protocol Harmonization Over Networks) assessment standard issued by ETSI (European Telecommunications Standards Institute).
