Abstract

PT XYZ merupakan perusahaan yang bergerak di bidang industri semen dimana raw material menjadi salah satu faktor utama yang perlu diperhatikan dalam kegiatan produksi. Gypsum synthetic merupakan salah satu material beli yang baru dikonsumsi pada salah satu produk semen PT XYZ yaitu Semen Extra Power. Dari sisi operasinal produksi, Saat ini PT XYZ menargetkan konsumsi Gypsum Synthetic sebanyak 100%, namun pada praktiknya, terdapat beberapa permasalahan yang terjadi ketika konsumsi Gypsum Synthetic dilakukan diantaranya terjadi material yang plug up di finish mill yang berdampak pada down time performance finish mill. Permasalahan kedua dari sisi persediaan dan kapasitas, material Gypsum Synthetic memperlukan perlakuan khusus dalam penyimpanannya karena mengandung moisture yang lebih tinggi yaitu >15% Permasalahan ketiga dari sisi kualitas, pada konsumsi Gypsum Shyntetic menghasilkan kandungan P2O5 yang rata-rata di atas 0.2% sehingga menyebabkan semen yang setting time produk semen lebih lama yang berdampak pada strenght semen yang rendah. Penelitian ini mencoba untuk menganalisis biaya konsumsi Gypsum Synthetic dan natural dengan menggunakan metode Traditional Costing, tujuannya adalah untuk membandingkan biaya jika implementasi tersebut dilakukan atau perusahaan tetap menggunakan Gypsum Natural serta mengetahui apakah penghematan yang dihasilkan dari konsumsi gypsum synthetic bisa menutup biaya investasi dari implementasi strategi yang dilakukan, pada penelitian ini menggunakan metode Traditional Costing untuk membandingkan biaya konsumsi dari kedua Gypsum, dari hasil commulative cash flow dengan nilai yang positif setelah tahun ke 5 yaitu IDR 740,713,000. Pada perhitungan Net Cash Flow periode 1, perusahaan masih menghasilkan cash flow yang positif sebesar IDR 22,162,000. Kemudian dilakukan analisis investasi dengan Metode NPV dan IRR yang untuk mengetahui tingkat pengembalian investasi strategi dalam mengatasi permasalahan pada konsumsi Gypsum Synthetic. Dari hasil penelitian yang dilakukan didapatkan nilai NPV sebesar IDR 3,786,798,694 dan Nilai IRR sebesar 20.72% lebih besar jika dibandingkan dengan nilai MARR sebesar 10% sehingga dapat dikatakan investasi tersebut layak untuk dilakukan.

PT XYZ is a company engaged in the cement industry where raw material is one of the main factors that need to be considered in production activities. Synthetic gypsum is the main purchased materials which consumed in one of the PT XYZ's cement products, the product is Semen Extra Power. In Production, PT XYZ has currently targeting the consumption of Gypsum Synthetic for 100%, but actually, there are several problems occur when applied this implementation, the first problem is material plugging in the finish mill which has an impact on the down time performance of the finish mill. The second is supply and capacity, Gypsum Synthetic material requires special treatment in storage because it contains higher moisture, approximately >15%. The third is quality, the consumption of Gypsum Synthetic produces P2O5 content which is above 0.2% on average target, it impacts to the longer setting time Ii This study researchers conducted the cost analysis with compare Gypsum Synthetic and Gypsum Natural by using the traditional costing method, the aim of this research is to compare the costs if the implementation is carried out by consuming Gypsum Sythetic or the company was still continue to consume natural gypsum, and to find out whether the savings resulting from synthetic gypsum consumption can cover the investment costs of implementing the strategy. From the cost calculation by Traditional Costing, it results positive commulative cash flow after 5 years approximately IDR 740,713,000. Based on Net Cash Flow calculation in 1st year, cash flow result positive value approximately IDR 22,162,000. For The investment analysis is calculating with NPV and IRR Methods to determine the levels of investments made to overcome problems in the consumption of Synthetic Gypsum. From the results, it was obtained that the NPV value was IDR 3,786,798,694 and the IRR value was 20.72% more than MARR value 10% so that it was said that the investment was feasible.
