Abstract

Tesla transformer is a component / device that functions to produce a voltage in the form of a damped oscillating wave with a high frequency that uses resonance in the transfer of energy from the primary to the secondary. The working principle of the Tesla transformer is to utilize the L and C resonance events. High-frequency high-frequency connections can be generated using a Tesla or so-called Tesla transformer. So far, Tesla's high voltage testing is still using a conventional Tesla transformer. High frequency high connection is useful for many purposes. One of the applications of high-voltage tesla generation is for insulator testing. Several studies on the design of Tesla's high-voltage generation have been carried out but are still in the high-voltage testing using a conventional Tesla-high-voltage generator design. In this final project, we will design and implement a Tesla Transformer test module based on solid state. The test module is expected to be useful to find out whether a solid state based Tesla Transformer circuit can be used as an alternative to high voltage testing. The specifications of the tesla high voltage generation based on solid state components in this study are a maximum output voltage of 150 kV, a maximum output frequency of 22.48 kHz, a transformer winding ratio of 8:2250, and a maximum power of 1,76 kW.
