Abstract

Ruas jalan Pejagan – Prupuk terus mengalami peningkatan minat pengendara terutama kendaraan barang.

The Pejagan – Prupuk road section continues to experience an increase in the interest of motorists, especially goods vehicles. In order to anticipate escalation of the traffic volume, road widening need too be planned to increase road capacity. The widening of the Pejagan – Prupuk road section needs to be done carefully. This road section is on soft subgrade soil. CPT test results in the field showed that the soil had a qc value of 0-20 kg/cm2 to a depth of 17.2 meters. In the subgrade soil also detected the mineral montmorillonite which is expansive. However, based on laboratory tests, the swelling pressure of 0.154 kg/cm2 is in the low category. Road widening is carried out at an elevation of 4 meters from the subgrade so that a fairly high slope of the road body will be formed. Road embankment widening high above soft ground results in a difference in settlement between the existing road and the new road and causes the slope of the road embankment to be unstable. The handling carried out on the subgrade under the new road embankment is using PVD so that the subgrade reaches a degree of consolidation of 90% more quickly. So that there is no large decline after road construction is completed. Unstable embankment slopes are treated with several reinforcement alternatives using an auxiliary program using the LEM method. Based on the calculation analysis, there was a decrease of 9.151 cm below the existing road and 11.336 cm under the new road in the first year. Sagging can be managed using a PVD so that reduction can be achieved within 23 weeks. Furthermore, the slope modeling of road widening without reinforcement has an Fs value of 0.84 which means the road is in an unstable condition. Based on a comparison using the AHP method, minipile, geotextile and gabion reinforcement was determined as an alternative reinforcement that was able to efficiently increase Fs > 1.5.
