Abstract

Negara Indonesia merupakan salah satu negara yang memiliki potensi gempa yang cukup tinggi. Banyak yang menyoroti bahwa meskipun gempa bumi adalah fenomena global, dampaknya terhadap kematian sangat tidak proporsional, dengan sebagian besar kematian yang terjadi terkonsentrasi pada rumah tinggal masyarakat yang memiliki jumlah lantai sebesar 1 lantai atau 2 lantai. Dengan kondisi tersebut mengharuskan bangsa Indonesia memiliki sistem bangunan yang tepat dalam menahan gaya gempa terutama yang diperuntukan untuk perumahan rakyat, hal tersebut diharapkan dapat mengurangi kerusakan bangunan akibat gempa yang terjadi pada perumahan rakyat sehingga korban jiwa pada bangunan rakyat akibat gempa dapat dikurangi. Konsep isolasi seismik cukup sederhana. Sistem ini memisahkan struktur dari gerakan horizontal dengan memberikan kekakuan horizontal yang rendah antara struktur dan pondasi. Ini memberikan struktur terisolasi frekuensi dasar yang jauh lebih rendah daripada frekuensi tetap dan frekuensi dominan gerakan tanah. Isolasi tidak menyerap energi gempa, melainkan membelokkannya melalui dinamika sistem untuk menekan kemungkinan resonansi pada frekuensi isolasi. Inovasi komposisi bahan fiber sangat banyak diteliti untuk meminimalkan nilai cost yang akan digunakan pada base isolator. Penelitian terbaru oleh Saiteja Sistla, et al tahun 2021 yaitu dengan jurnal berjudul “Parametric studies and application of fibre reinforced elastomeric isolators to low-rise buildings” dilakukannya permodelan pada isolator yang berjenis Unbonded Fibre Reinforced Elastomeric Isolator (FREIs) dengan menggunakan 6 jenis bahan fiber yang ada pada perumahan rakyat di India. 3 diantara menggunakan serat dari tumbuhan yaitu Jute, Sisal, dan Flax . 3 jenis fiber tersebut setelah diteliti dapat digunakan sebagai bahan isolator dan juga mempunyai harga yang murah untuk digunakan sebagai bahan dasar low cost base isolator untuk perumahan rakyat

Indonesia is a country that has the potential to quite a big earthquake. Many highlighted that despite the earthquake being a global phenomenon, its impact on mortality is disproportionately large, with most of the deaths that occurred concentrated in residential homes communities that have a total floor of 1 floor or 2 floors. With these conditions require that the Indonesian people have a building system that is precise in resisting earthquake forces, especially those intended for housing people, it is expected to reduce the damage to buildings caused by the earthquake that occurred in public housing so that casualties in buildings people due to the earthquake can be reduced. The concept of seismic isolation is quite simple. This system separates the structure of horizontal motion by providing low horizontal stiffness between the structure and foundation. This provides an isolated base frequency structure much lower than the fixed frequency and the dominant frequency of ground motion. Isolator does not absorb earthquake energy but deflects it through system dynamics to suppress possible resonance at the isolated frequency. Innovative fiber composition has been extensively researched to minimize the value cost that will be used on the base isolator. In recent research by Saiteja Sistla, et al in 2021, namely with a journal entitled “Parametric studies and application of fiber reinforced elastomeric isolators to low-rise buildings” he did the modeling of Unbonded Fiber Reinforced Elastomeric Isolator (FREIs) using 6 types of fiber materials that exist in public housing in India. 3 of them use fiber from plants, namely Jute, Sisal and Flax. The 3 types of the fiber after research can be used as materials insulator and also has a low price to be used as a material basic low-cost base isolator for public housing.
