Abstract

Startup The North Face Campers merupakan perusahaan yang bergerak dalam bisnis Jasa Travel. Start-up ini hadir dengan memberikan pelayanan terbaik dan ekslusive bagi para wisatawan yang ingin memakai Jasa mereka untuk bepergian ke gunung – gunung di seluruh Indonesia. Sebagai salah satu Start-up yang baru saja berdiri, The North Face Campers tentunya terus melakukan inovasi agar dapat berkembang ke arah yang lebih baik. Namun, dengan perkembangan yang stabil setiap tahunnya startup The North Face Campers masih perlu banyak melakukan inovasi dan pengembangan bisnis untuk memperbaiki permasalahan yang kiranya akan menghambat pada proses pengembangan nantinya. Salah satu permasalahan yang dihadapi adalah masih banyaknya masyarakat pendaki yang belum mengenal The North Face Campers, serta pelayanan digital yang tersedia dianggap masih banyak kekurangan karena terdapat banyak pelanggan yang mengalami kesulitan dalam mendapatkan informasi – informasi dan melakukan reservasi secara digital. Selain itu, bermunculan kompetitor bisnis jasa travel yang menggunakan strategi digital seperti mobile app (aplikasi mobile). Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membantu startup The North Face Campers dalam melakukan inovasi melalui perancangan user experience aplikasi berbasis design thinking. Penelitian ini meliputi beberapa tahapan seperti identifikasi karakteristik, model bisnis, dan layanan serta metode design thinking yang terdiri dari lima tahapan yaitu emphatize, define, ideate, prototype, dan testing. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan wawancara mendalam dengan semi-terstruktur kepada 3 orang responden dari masing masing pihak dan melakukan observasi melalui data internal dan media sosial yang dimiliki. Proses ideate dan prototype akan dilaksanakan melalui metode Focus Group Discussion (FGD) bersama keyplayer untuk menghasilkan luaran rancangan desain aplikasi mobile untuk start-up The North Face Campers yang efektif dan efisien. Hasil luaran penelitian berupa rancangan user experience aplikasi dengan beberapa fitur meliputi: menu home, profil, wilayah, gunung, pendaftaran, booking. Tentunya Desain berdasarkan hasil analisis design thinking pihak The North Face Campers dan pelanggan.

Startup The North Face Campers is a company engaged in the Travel Services business. This startup is here by providing the best and exclusive service for tourists who want to use their services to travel to mountains throughout Indonesia. As one of the startups that has just been established, The North Face Campers certainly continues to innovate so that it can develop in a better direction. However, with the stable development every year, The North Face Campers startup still needs to innovate and develop a lot of business to fix problems that will presumably hinder the development process later. One of the problems faced is that there are still many climbing people who are not familiar with The North Face Campers, and the available digital services are considered to be still lacking because there are many customers who have difficulty in obtaining information and making reservations digitally. In addition, there are emerging competitors in the travel service business that use digital strategies such as mobile applications. Therefore, this study aims to help startups in the north face Campers in innovating through designing application user experiences based on design thinking. This research includes several stages such as identifying characteristics, business models, and services as well as design thinking methods consisting of five stages, namely emphatize, define, ideate, prototype, and testing. This study used an in-depth interview approach with semi-structured to 3 respondents from each party and made observations through internal data and social media owned. The ideate and prototype process will be carried out through the Focus Group Discussion (FGD) method with keyplayers to produce an effective and efficient mobile application design Iuaran for The North Face Campers startup. The results of the research output are in the form of an application user experience design with several features including: home menu, profile, region, mountain, registration, booking. Design based on the results of the design thinking analysis of the north face campers and customers.
