Abstract

Mahasiswa memiliki minat yang cukup tinggi untuk berpartisipasi dalam berbagai ajang kompetisi tahunan. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan meningkatnya angka partisipasi mahasiswa tiap tahunnya. Demikian dengan Mahasiswa Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember yang juga berpartisipasi dalam beberapa ajang kompetisi tahunan yang diselenggarkan oleh Pusat Prestasi Nasional (Puspresnas) dan Kementrian Pendidikan, Kebudayaan, Riset, dan Teknologi (Kemdikbudristek). Salah satu faktor pendukung tingginya partisipasi mahasiswa dalam ajang kompetisi tersebut adalah tersedianya platform yang dapat mewadahi mahasiswa dalam manajemen dan tata kelola berbagai ajang kompetisi dan prestasi mahasiswa. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan aplikasi myITS Puspresnas sebagai platform untuk mahasiswa yang ingin mengikuti berbagai ajang kompetisi Puspresnas. Aplikasi ini dapat memudahkan mahasiswa untuk mendapatkan arahan dan bimbingan dari dosen pembimbing terkait bidang kompetisi yang sedang diikuti sehingga mahasiswa dapat memaksimalkan kompetensi yang dimiliki ketika mengikuti kompetisi tersebut.

Aplikasi myITS Puspresnas dikembangkan menggunakan metode User-centered Design untuk memahami kebutuhan pengguna dari hasil wawancara dan evaluasi desain terhadap antarmuka pengguna. Terdapat dua evaluasi desain yang telah dilakukan untuk menemukan permasalahan pada desain antarmuka pengguna, yaitu usability testing untuk menguji ketergunaan myITS Puspresnas dan evaluasi heuristik untuk menguji kesesuaian desain antarmuka pengguna dengan prinsip heuristik. Selain itu, penilaian SUS (System Usability Scale) juga dilakukan untuk menguji nilai ketergunaan desain antarmuka pengguna myITS Puspresnas. Nilai SUS untuk empat peran user myITS Puspresnas telah berada diatas nilai SUS yang baik, yaitu dengan angka 84 untuk user mahasiswa, 91.5 untuk user dosen, 89.5 untuk user reviewer, dan 82,5 untuk admin. Setelah melakukan dua tahapan iterasi evaluasi desain untuk usability testing dan evaluasi heuristik, myITS Puspresnas dapat diimplementasikan menjadi website yang responsif.

College Students are highly interested in participating on various annual competitions. This is shown by the increasing number of student participants every year. Students from Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology (ITS) also take part in several annual competitions organised by the Pusat Prestasi Nasional (Puspresnas) from Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology (Kemdikbudristek). One of the factors that supports the strong participation of college students in the competition is the availability of a platform that can accommodate students in the management and governance of various competitions and student achievements. Therefore, the myITS Puspresnas website application is necessary as a platform for students who want to participate in various Puspresnas competitions. This application can assist students in obtaining guidance and advice from supervisors regarding the field of competition in which students participate so they can maximize their skills when they participate in the competition.

The myITS application was developed using the User-centered Design methodology to understand user requirements based on of user interviews and UI design evaluations. There are two design evaluations that have been carried out to find problems in the user interface design, that is usability testing to tests the usability of myITS Puspresnas and heuristic evaluation to test the adequacy of the user interface design with heuristic principles. In addition, the SUS (System Usability Scale) assessment was also performed to test the usability value of Puspresnas's myITS UI design. The SUS scores for the four Puspresnas myITS user roles were above the good SUS scores, namely 84 for student users, 91.5 for lecturer users, 89.5 for user reviewers, and 82.5 for admins. After performing two iterative phases of design evaluation iterations for usability testing and heuristic evaluation, myITS Puspresnas can be implemented in a responsive website.
