Abstract

Dengue fever (DHF) is a serious problem for the entire global community and the infection will continue to increase in the future. If a viral infection is not detected immediately, the diagnosis of DHF will be delayed, causing mismanagement, and increasing the mortality rate of DHF patients. Nanomaterials are widely used in developing biosensors to detect infectious diseases, one of which is luminescent semiconductor quantum dots (QDs). The addition of organic protein to the quantum dots makes the material a biosensor with high sensitivity and specificity, in which case CuInS2 QDs/ZnS is used as the main compound for the biosensor probe. Temperature plays a role in the synthesis of the quantum dots that correspond to the wavelength and produce the yellow–orange emission.
