Abstract
Penggunaan internet di Indonesia sangatlah tinggi, banyak kegiatan yang dilakukan membutuhkan internet. Salah satunya kegiatan dalam pengajaran dibangku perkuliahan yaitu publikasi artikel ilmiah secara daring. Publikasi ilmiah menjadi satu hal yang sangat penting dalam kegiatan perkuliahan bagi dosen dan juga mahasiswa. Salah satu situs publikasi ilmiah yang dikembangkan oleh Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember melalui Pusat Publikasi Ilmiah, Direktorat Riset dan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat ITS yaitu Publikasi Artikel Ilmiah ITS (POMITS). Setiap situs publikasi ilmiah memiliki beberapa fitur yang mendukung dan desain yang ramah bagi pengguna. Namun, pada situs POMITS masih terdapat beberapa kekurangan dalam penyusunan desain serta fitur yang ada. Penulisan tugas akhir ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mengevaluasi usabilitas dari situs POMITS dengan menggunakan eye-tracking untuk mengetahui pergerakan dari bola mata pengguna dalam melakukan skenario serta kuesioner system usability scale yang dikombinasikan dengan retrospective think aloud untuk mengetahui pengalaman dari pengguna dalam melakukan skenario. Selain itu, penelitian ini juga bertujuan membuat perbaikan desain dari situs Publikasi Artikel Ilmiah ITS (POMITS). Penelitian dilakukan kepada 32 responden yaitu mahasiswa S1 Teknik Sistem dan Industri angkatan 2019 dan 2020. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian saat kondisi eksisting didapatkan beberapa permasalahan terkait desain yang dialami responden. Hal ini didukung dengan rata-rata skor system usability scale yang berada pada kategori F atau awful sehingga perlu dilakukan proses perancangan ulang pada desain situs. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian saat kondisi perbaikan didapatkan hasil perubahan desain situs berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap completion time, time to first fixation, dan fixation duration. Selain itu, rata-rata skor system usability scale meningkat hingga kategori C atau good. Hasil pengujian dan perbaikan desain situs Publikasi Artikel Ilmiah ITS (POMITS) diharapkan dapat menjadi bahan pertimbangan pihak pengembang untuk dapat meningkatkan efektivitas, efisiensi, dan kepuasan pengguna agar lebih mudah serta nyaman digunakan.

Internet usage in Indonesia is very high, many activities require internet. One of the activities in teaching in lectures is the publication of scientific articles online. Scientific publications are very important in lecture activities for lecturers and students alike. One of the scientific publication sites developed by the Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology through the Scientific Publication Center, ITS Directorate of Research and Community Service, namely ITS Scientific Article Publication (POMITS). Every scientific publication site has several supporting features and a user-friendly design. However, on the POMITS website there are still some deficiencies in the preparation of existing designs and features. This final project was written with the aim of evaluating the usability of the POMITS website by using eye-tracking to determine the movement of the user's eyeballs in carrying out scenarios and a system usability scale questionnaire combined with retrospective think aloud to determine the experience of users in carrying out scenarios. In addition, this research also aims to make improvements to the design of the ITS Scientific Articles Publication website (POMITS). The research was conducted on 32 respondents, namely S1 students in Systems and Industrial Engineering class of 2019 and 2020. Based on the results of the research when the existing conditions were found, several problems related to design were experienced by the respondents. This is supported by the average score of the system usability scale which is in category F or awful, so it is necessary to redesign the site design process. Based on the results of research during repair conditions, it was found that changes in site design had a significant effect on completion time, time to first fixation, and fixation duration. In addition, the average system usability scale score increases to category C or good. It is hoped that the results of testing and improving the design of the ITS Scientific Article Publication website (POMITS) will be taken into consideration by the developer to be able to increase effectiveness, efficiency and user satisfaction to make it easier and more comfortable to use.
